Rosado landed some great shots on Jacobs. The jab was a big factor for Rosado, Jacobs only landed in spurts as usual, but what he landed was very good. A lot of people are saying this was a dull fight. No sorry, this was a great fight, lots of back and forth action. Low output due to good blocking but big shots were landed. This wasn't just rock em sock em robots, this was two high level operators trying to out duel each other. Rosado should feel robbed, the judges even announced the winner was from Philadelphia then said oops New York. Rosado thought he won for about 10 seconds. Ridiculous and especially because it was expected that Jacobs would get a close decision. But Rosado deserved it, credit to him for taking it to Jacobs and controlling Jacobs with that jab. Both guys stock should go up after this. Both fought well and I gotta say Rosado is seriously underrated as a technician. He has one of the best jabs in boxing, it's a sneaky rangey jab that you can't see coming because he has it so low. He landed that great inside right hand shown on slo-mo. You can tell Rosado dedicated himself in training and it showed in the match. Jacobs was in great shape too as usual, these guys can fight.

    Interesting logic you use.

Some one made a claim that Jacobs has NEVER been elite.

I simply pointed out the very fact that many saw Jacobs best both Derevyanchenko and Golovkin, and in furthering my case for Jacobs being an elite fighter I also mentioned that even more people thought Derevyanchenko beat Golovkin. Golovkin, being a well established elite fighter.

Soooooo, how did my rebuttal to the post claiming Jacobs has never been elite reek of obsession? Obsession would be if I jumped on every GGG post and responding mindlessly as you did.

I didn't watch the match, but I am always biased with the underdog. So Rosario won the match in my opinion :)

Yes. Depending on how you view elite, it's arguable. I'd say he is, but if someone didn't think he was, I wouldn't be dead set against it.
No, they didn't. Many saw him beat Derevyanchenko. It's a minority who saw him beat Jacobs. And don't act like you don't know that.
Narrowly beating a man who's claim to fame is a flashy amateur record and a 'win' over a thirty-seven year old Golovkin establishes Jacobs as a bonafide elite fighter? Did you see Derevyanchenko vs Culcay?

And BTW, you can drop the whole schtick that you're just arguing Jacobs as an elite. It's incredibly transparent.
No, that would mean you had some form of provocation. In this instance, you didn't, and still bagged on him

yeah, that's what I scored it. I've seen worse decisions certainly - but in a fair fight, where both were equal draws, Rosado would've gotten the nod

    Agreed
Star Power has its privileges and this keeps Danny J in a position for a bigger named fighter in order to cash out.
I like both guys but to me it was a clear win for GR

The highlights on dazn/youtube were bizarre, there were only 3 or 4 solid landed punches.

Didn't jacobs have a new trainer?

Well, this is a message board, where we spend countless hours discussing and dissecting boxing. Someone made a comment about Jacobs that I disagree with, and I offered a rebuttal, as is the norm in boxing forums.

First of all I didn't say a majority, I said many. Many did in fact see how the fight could have been scored for Jacobs and that GGG was the benefactor of A side privileges.

Even if you felt Jacobs did truly lose, his performance against GGG shows that they are in a similar level. You add his performance against Derevyanchenko and compare it to Golovkin's and it further supports the idea that Jacobs is on Golovkin's level, which supports my claim that Jacobs is an elite fighter, which is the point I was making before you mindlessly snubbed in with your useless comment.

Absolutely I did, I knew that GGG would be open to fighting Derevyanchenko after the way he looked against Culcay. Little did GGG know it was an off night for SD.

I think you're a little to sensitive about someone being a little critical about Golovkin. It's okay man, Golovkin is just man. You can relax, it's not like your Muslim and im Critiquing Allah.

So because I mentioned that many people felt GGG lost yo both DJ and SD in close fights while I was making a point about why DJ is an elite fighter on par with GGG, and SD, you consider that a BAG?

Lol... you're a little too sensitive when it comes to GGG, so it appears.
