I had Salido win but Lomachenko impress me. Salido dirty cheat. Weight should be honoured even if detrimental to fight.
Lomachenko won easily, I just saw a replay of the HBO broadcast and now I know why so many people think Salido landed punches. Salido landed nothing all fight and Lampley, Kellerman kept saying that body shots were landing for Salido. It reminded me of the Pac-Bradley fight where they were calling phantom punches for Pac and just making assumptions about who 'the harder puncher' was. Lomachenko boxed his head off and had him drowning in the 12th, ready to go. Lomachenko trained to go for 12 rounds so he took his time, unfortunately everyones expectation was that they were going to be dazzled and see an early round knockout by an emerging star. Lomachenko showed incredible boxing but he did get a pro lesson, the lesson that pro fights are more subjective, the politics and that people involved know very little about actual boxing. It's a show, especially to idiots like Kellerman. If you don't entertain them or seem like a bad ass then you're losing even if you're winning at the sport. Lomachenko outboxed then outfought a 147lb veteran in his second fight, only to be denied history by an incompetent ref and judges. Bad decision, bad day for boxing.
So it turns out the punch that threw lomachenko off balance mid fight was cause by a gust of wind? Why was Loma clinching so much?
bunch of crybaby excuse makers butthurt because their idol is not the superman they thought!!! an elite fighter would have overcome the odds and not had to clinch 10+ times a round like his ukranian cousin wladimir klitshcko!!!! loma time to go back to the drawing board, mikey garcia and rigondeaux school u easily!!!!!
Judges scored what happen in the fight. Two of them got it right. As for the "147lb veteran" statement; no. He was a 128.25lb veteran. If we are stating their in-ring weights, then let us note that Loma entered the ring at 136. So if you want to keep saying "Loma fought a WW," then please state "Loma fought a fighter who weighed the Welterweight limit while he himself fought weighing in at Junior Welterweight."
