In the replays you could even see Lomachenko trying to parry shots that were well below the belt, he was so prepared for Salido's dirty boxing that he turned up with ball protecting skills and didn't complain :yep
I think that was part of the problem tbh, he was well aware of Salido's tendencies that he had already accepted it before the bout, when he should've been making a big deal about it ala Broner/Hopkins.

Loma was cheating by excessive clinching...pushing off...and holding dudes head down....those are illegal.

Solido was well in his rights to rough up that octopus:lol:

I think Loma deserves more respect than he is getting for taking this fight.

I hate to make this long but here's my view in general, not only regarding his boxing ability. As a boxer I think he's definitely high up there, I mean for a fighter with only one professional fight he almost had Salido out in the 12th round and was giving him a tough fight. If you think about it, that's abnormal, unbelievable and demands respect. The man was actually giving someone who's a division above him hell in Texas(Where Mexican fighters are favored, as obvious during that fight too). The referee was also a piece of **** and was clearly looking to save him in the 12th. As far as boxing ability is concerned, it's too early to judge to be honest and this fight is the wrong one to pick if you want to judge him because his opponent wasn't normal in his weight difference and despicable shameless fighting style for someone with all the advantages he could dream of. Some ******s here love to say Lomachenko has no power yet he's the first to KO his first opponent and almost had a super featherweight out in the 12th as a featherweight, that's all you need to know regarding his power. As far as being panicked, how can he not be?. He's fighting a man clearly bigger and a cheating scum at that. I've been a fan of Lomachenko from the start and this fight only makes me a bigger fan.

Now on to another critical point I would like to address regarding this fiasco of a fight. Why the hell did Arum accept to make it in Texas and why the hell did Lomachenko's team go on with the fight when the scumbag failed to make weight?. I know that it was on the undercard of Chavez Jr., another Mexican fighter looking to impress in Texas, but why the hell did they accept to be on that event?. There's no way in hell Arum overlooked this as an intelligent promoter and person. There are some serious questions worth looking into here. Why waste Lomachenko's 0 and record breaking attempt so carelessly like that when he could have easily been Top Rank's next big star?. He has the ability, age, fighting style and guts to easily headline after Pacquiao retires.

Again, my apologies for making this long but had to share everything regarding this situation/fight. Thank you for the kind words by the way, highly respected and appreciated.

Which is why he shouldn't have gone on with the fight when the scumbag failed to make weight. The majority can't fathom what he attempted to do especially when the scumbag failed to make weight. I wouldn't be surprised if the majority don't even know he was fighting a super featherweight as a featherweight.

    7-5 Loma.

Weird fight in that Salido looked to be in control of the first 75 percent of the fight, yet actually didn't all that much in the way of quality scoring over the last half of the contest. That allowed Loma to shade rounds 7 and 8 on my card, simply because his holding (annoying as it was) nullified a lot of Orlando's inside work, leaving Loma's work upstairs as the only thing you could possibly score. Then Salido faded in the final quarter, allowing Loma to gain the edge on my card.

That said, if you score 7 and 8 for Salido (and you could, if you scored aggression over defense), Salido is up 115-113, so I can't really complain about the scoring. It was a close, pick-what-you-like kind of fight.

    Thank you.

It's true that he's most definitely(I sincerely hope) going to come back strong after this loss but the 0 going in the cheap way it went wasn't necessary at all. That said, we both know how important that 0 could be in the long run especially when he's starting his professional career abnormally strong and aiming for legacy/history making fights already. He definitely deserves all the respect in the world for this taking this but hopefully his management does a better job or are replaced if they're going to remain incompetent. In the end this is his career, full-time job, life and future. If they're going to screw him up this early then they're not worth having someone like him. That said, I'm fully expecting him to become champion in his next fight. I'm sure you heard that the WBO are offering him an immediate title shot after the Texan farce we witnessed.
