Who won the fight?

114-112 Algeiri

 

113-113, but 114-112 Algieri was a lot more reflective of the fight I saw than 117-109 Ruslan.

 

114-112 for Provodnikov. No robbery. Great fight. Algieri's got balls. Can't believe some people think Ruslan got "schooled" and others think Algieri "fought scared". What world do some of these people live in? Algieri was eating serious shots in most of the rounds and was hurting bad but he came back from a crisis in the first round and fought through a horrendous eye and a bloody battered mouth and battered rib cages to work a beautiful jab and get into a great rhythm. Just a great fight to talk about and argue scoring, if you're not with idiots.

 

Provodnikov won the fight, look at their faces, Provodnikov landed the much harder blows, Algieri landed punches like a girl..............

 

I thought Provo won a close fight. I think people on these boards give underdogs the benefit of close decisions.

Fight could have go either way imo like people scoring it shows.

 

115-111 Algieri
A lot of close, close rounds. But I liked his boxing.

 

That is a nice lead straught right. He looked like willie pep in there at times.

 

I was happy Algeri won, I love going for the dog, but I felt based on clean, effective punching and aggression provodnikov should have taken it despite the difference in punch output.

It was a very close fight. I think it could have gone either way. I couldn't believe anyone had it 117 to 109...

Ruslan was always overrated people at least will know that now.
