****ing Sky kept zooming in and out so I couldn't see who broke who's stare.

    Does anyone know?

They were fixated with each other for a ****ing long time. I want to know who won that psychological victory.

I'm always trying to look at that sort of stuff, body language etc to see if I can read the signs of someone being nervous, scared etc. Generally though it counts for nothing.

They said Ricky Hatton was the first person to win the psychological battle with Floyd, the first to get under his skin, and look what happened.

When Ricky had the staredown with Manny, Manny didn't want any of it. He looked away, was smiling and laughing, and people said he was nervous, intimidated etc. Again, same result.

Last night Martin Rogan looked like a possesed man against Sexton. Sexton looked like a dopy student. Same result.

I think a lot of this psychology stuff is bs, like crossing your arms is supposed to be a defensive mechanism etc. IMO, if someone is truly secure, they don't bother with mind games or care about if their opponent looks away before they do etc.

But to answer your question, I don't know:D

boxing is not just physical. every victory, whether it is mental or physical, means something.

all these littles things can be something or nothing.

Nope, he was outdone when it came to mind games. In the earlier promotion events he remained all smiles and kept his cool while Floyd acted like a fool and kept intimidating him.

In the last week or so he got increasingly edgy and seemed to be genuinely annoyed at Floyd, while Floyd looked like he didn't care too much.

And on fight night, Mayweather was relaxed but focused when he walked into the ring, and even during the fight, while Hatton looked tense coming in and didn't focus properly during the fight (turning his back towards Floyd, etc...)

Floyd smarter than he looks. He acts like a complete fool and pretends to take it easy, but in reality he trains really hard and comes completely focused to the ring.

ricky admits to losing the mind games in the fight. floyd was faking fouls and hatton lost it, fighting even more stupid and getting ko'd.

Valoeuv. As was proven in the ring. Haye ran like a coward and hardly threw punch. Jim Watt was correct.
