Who won the Toney/Peters fight?

    I just saw this fight for the first time. I thought Toney got robbed. I had it 115-113 Toney. I can't believe two judges had it 116-111 for Peters despite Peters having a point deducted.

    Bernstein and all the press people scoring the fight had it closely for Toney.

    Peters did throw the harder punches but i thought Toney was just more effective. He countered well. He made Peters miss a lot. And he was just the better fighter overall. He controlled the tempo and action better.

    So who do you guys think won the fight?

    haha I enjoyed that fight, I also remember sending many Tony nut huggers packing with a months off bet. The first fight was the only controversial one. People who scored it for Tony based it off of volume of punches landed, people who scored it for Peter based it on more powerful shots landed. It just came down to which you valued more, volume or power. But at the end of the day Peter proved to be the better HW by totally outclassing Tony in the second fight.

    I had the first fight a draw. And then Peter kicked Toney's fat ass in the second fight just to set the record straight. What more can we ask from the guy?

    Toney's jab was undeniably effective and he made Peter look terrible. The fact that he stood right in front of Peter all night and Peter couldn't do anything to capitalize blew my mind. The 2nd fight was a blowout for Peter though...

    Close fight though, so I understand the complaints from the Toney camp.

    i had peter winning both. Peters punches were heavier and pushing toney back with every blow.

    I'm sure it has nothing to do with your hate of Toney. :lol:

    Toney definitely won that first fight. That was a clear Don King gift decision.

    I thought Toney eked out the first fight - but he was horribly overmatched it the return bout.

    Thank You! I started to write that Toney and "Peters" never fought. But Toney and Peter did, twice.

    Crap I accidentally voted for Peter...I was thinking of the second fight. Yea I think Toney got robbed in the first fight but Peter more than made up for it in the second fight
