Who won the two fights between Hopkins and Taylor?

Hopkins lost the 1st because he waited until round 8 to start winning. So, I had JT winning by a round. Hopkins lost the 2nd because although he started winning the fight in round 7 this time, Taylor showed improved conditioning and won at least one of the championship rounds. So, I had Taylor winning the 2nd by two rounds.

 

B-Hop made Taylor miss the majority of his punches and punished Taylor through the second half of both fights - then was robbed by the judges in both fights.

 

I had Taylor winning the first one, only because Hopkins didn't step up the gas until too late. I had Hopkins winning the rematch. I would like to score both of these fights again though.

The first fight, Hopkins really whipped his ass in rounds 9-12 but he didnt do **** the first 8 rounds. I originally was fine with the decision but its been a long time since I seen it. I mean Hopkins showed he was the better fighter but he knows its scored round by round and waited too long to get started.

 

I think Taylor won both fights. Hopkins did more early in the second fight than he did in the first but I still think Taylor still won both fights.

 

I need to watch these fights again. I may have had it 1-1?

 

But he also gave away so many of the early rounds in both fights and was clearly stunned and driven to the ropes in the first fight.

I think Hopkins showed that he is the better boxer and still lost legitimately in the first fight. He showed superior skills in the late rounds and perhaps won those rounds more impressively than Taylor won the early rounds. But he did NOT won more rounds and his loss, at least in part, due to the limitation of the scoring system. If someone narrowly wins seven rounds and the other guy wins five clearly, the better fighter may not get the decision.

Hopkins definetly was a sore loser and only had himself to blame, especiallyin the rematch. Why start slow again if it cost you the first fight?

I thought Hopkins definitely won the first fight, even though he started late.
The second fight could have gone either way.
