Imaginbe how many 3 second clips you could make from the Kessler fight that would look like Kessler was clearly landing and winning, whie Calzaghe missing and clearly losing?

hard to say who won that exchange really, i would say it is null and void, calzaghe trying to work an opening throwing a feeble jab, hopkins counters land calzaghe throws a good left upper to the body and lands and lands with the right before bhop steps out.

minging fight that really highlighted how good calzaghe is after witnessing how hopkins was able to land at will on pavlik.

san rafael stop sounding like a sour ****,fights are often subjective especially in one as close as this, i personally have as a calzaghe win and have all 3 times ive watched it stop trying to say that if you did not score it the way you did then youre a ******, it's ****ing ridiculous mate and makes you sound like an arrogant ****!

Hop won that fight, and most of the fight can be summed up in that very clip above.

CompuBox is wrong all the time, it's human error just like any other, and when a guy flurries like Joe does, he's usually going to get them to register atleast a few shots as scoring, when in fact most of the time they don't.

Hahaha... It hurts, eh? You can't even say who won this exchange - and you scored it for Calzaghe? Small ****ing wonder. Watch it for a 4th time with those rose colored lenses on. Or watch it blind. Whatever the **** you do.. Sour ****? Who sounds like the sour **** here? The facts are too much for you. I can see that.

Glad it was me who got to you. :emma I enjoy that more than you can know.

Cant believe people are still trying to convince themselves this was a contoversial result but **** it i'll play along.

Even in that gif that the OP and san are using to show Hopkins win an exchange that Calzaghe dominated according to compubox, therefore discrediting the whole fight, it shows Calzaghe winning that exchange. How?

There are 2 clean shots landed, Hopkins right to the chin and Calzaghe's left to the body, Hop right stops Calzaghe momentarily while Calzaghe's left sends Hop on the back foot away from the exchange, Calzaghe's is the most effective shot. The left Hop lands on Calzaghe's shoulder blade is irrelevant as is Calzaghe's 6 flapping shots around Hops shoulders, head. The most effective shot landed was Calzaghe's, the most shots landed were Calzaghe's and the most shots thrown was by Calzaghe. Where's the debate folks.

It can look as ugly as you want, doesnt change the result.

you what?got to me i seriously ****ing doubt it, the level of extreme ******ation on this site in the past few months has blown out of all proportion and a fella like yourself, san rafael, simply exemplifies that. rose coloured lenses ... o dear that's rich saying i'm not a calzaghe fan, i hate his boxing style but i appreciate that he is a great fighter and when people like you continue in blatant attempts to discredit his victories it simply highlights how calzaghe's success has annoyed so many people!he is doing what so many said he couldnt and inevitably embarrassing those who said he could never step up to that world class level.

now san rafael, why don't you look at that gif again and tell me who won that exchange ... after that watch the fight again and tell me that calzaghe didn't land more punches and in the process embarrass hopkins in the latter stages!

This fight was not close at all. I watched it in Sweden with family at a cafe and everyone there had Calzaghe winning a wide UD. I think one guy gave Hopkins three rounds out of the first 6 and Calzaghe the last 6, but he was the most generous in the place. These are Swedes - I am not Swedish and nether I nor them have any reason to prefer either fighter - well, actually I think Joe's style is ugly. Hopkins is dirty, but Joe is ugly so I may even chose Bernard's style. Anyway - the fight was no close in any way shape or form. End of.

IMO Hopkins won that fight and would dominate in a rematch hes so much better when Nazeem is his head trainer.

In watching the fight - I thought Hopkins schooled Calzaghe and made him look amateurish. Joe fought effectively in the late rounds - but was practically dominated up to that point. The decision was baffling.

    A rematch is warranted.

This thread is a testament to the home own-country bias that exits.

Objectively from people that don't have a leg in either camp, Joe clearly won. However, American fans somehow feel that Hopkins won.
