Hopkins did win that fight... but at this point- it really is a dead horse we're beating.

    IMO,

What about the body shot JC lands at the end that backs hopkins up?

It's a good shot that is seemingly being missed.

Hopkins lands a decent shot that stops Calzaghe for about half a second before starting the offence again. Calzaghe lands a shot that sends Hopkins back. The first punch that Calzaghe throws after Hopkins's shot affected Hopkins.

Watch it again, Juju. You can see Cortez start to hit his groin area as he warns Calzaghe for a low blow at the end of the GIF. That wasn't a scoring body shot.

One of the most deserving fights of a Split Decision ever, and so it was. I scored it for Hopkins, but I'm not going to fight terribly over the Split Decision. Bottom line Calzaghe has to grant the rematch or it goes as a massive blackmark against him longterm.

I can see Cortez move his hand yeah but i cant from memory remember him warning Calzaghe to keep his hands up after it. The punch still looks good to me, but when i watch the round in full and im wrong I'll retract.

I didnt look at the round when comenting on the exchange coz i wanted to judge it as i saw it, so i'll go look.
