i wish i had a poll for this thing, everyone is everywhere on the subject

the question is who won the exchange, and all the calzaghe fans are changing the topic to calzaghe winning the fight when thats not what the topic is about

i think its clear as day to who won the exchange

if I were in a fight I would definetely prefer to be the guy in red/silver shorts as opposed to the guy in green shorts during this exchange

BHop won the exchange, should have won the fight. This is not Olympic boxing... judges treat it as if it were.

Boom-Boom - will you say where you got those CompuBox fugures from? You've been asked a few times.

Also, I'm struggling to count 13 punches (or slaps) thrown by Calzaghe. Anyone else?

I thought the thread was to highlight CompuBox's faults, but I think I was wrong.

    what difference does it make?

I could say Joe threw 10 and landed only 2 and guys will still say Joe still won the exchange.

Actually, it does make a difference. That was the primary parameter you set up for the question.

****ing... classic... post Boom. This is the fight in microcosm.

7 punches? I see one glancing right hook land, and one flush left hook. He missed every jab.

Compubox was atrocious on this fight.

    He's making those numbers up.

    It's really simple.

Cut out a single moment where the fighter you cry about did better. Then exaggerate on what some people say (13 punches, 7 landed, right ), then say, see, this is bull****, so he won the fight.

A classic strawman argument if i've ever seen one.

If Joe landed as many punches as Compubox said he did, Hopkins would have looked like Roy Jones did.

Funny that with all these punches that Joe landed, only one fighter hit the deck in the first, only one fighter looked like a helpless amatuer and only one fighter was severely wobbled late in the fight.

I'm at work right now so I cant check out the video, but I imagine its the one that HBO used as a highlight for Calzaghe in the build up to Calzaghe-Jones. Made me laugh so hard I almost pissed myself. Joe is flailing away like a little girl and then Bernard just STICKS him with a perfect right hand completely stopping him in his tracks. Classic. Defines MEANINGFUL PUNCH.

woah thats lovely defense by bernard there onto the subject title bernard won the exchange but im not surprised people have the perception calzaghe won exchanges like this as his arms are constantly moving and hopkins tried to land short right hands and hooks which are hard to spot in realtime

All i'm saying is that the original post was a made-up claim (otherwise called a "lie") that told only a very small story of the fight.

By the way, who was faking low blows and going down on a knee to buy time at the end of the fight? Calzaghe was in full control, after losing some early rounds.

    Veteran move. Don't hate.

Doesn't change the fact that only one fighter landed any REAL punches in that bout.

I have yet to see proof from boom_boom regarding his compubox numbers. How does he know compubox scored them this way?

Looks like he is just making **** up, as some have already stated. Sad. :hand
