Anything from 116-112 (either combatant) to 114-114 is viable...!!! Many close rounds could have gone to either boxer...!!!
Had it a draw. There were a lot of close rounds where it was basically overall output of shots vs cleaner shots. Sometimes the cleaner shots from Thurman made up for the work-rate of Porter, sometimes it didn't.
Porter had the higher work rate, Thurman shots were harder and cleaner. Thurman edged it but not by much.
I'll cut the fans at the arena a little slack because you see aggression easier from a distance than what is actually landing clean. But watching this on TV it was a competitive but clear win for Thurman. Perfect example of effective aggression vs not effective. When you are eating the harder cleaner counters coming in, that is not effective aggression. This was the case more rounds than not. Hell of a fight and much respect to both men however.
