Personally I rate a fighters ability to control range, land more and land the better quality punches over the ability to just press a fight.

Pressing a fight is all fine and well when it allows you to control range, throw more, land more and land better quality punches. If pressing does none of that then pressing means **** all in terms of scoring a fight.

I thought Oscar won the last three rounds because he landed the cleaner blows, especially the 10th and 11th rounds with his jab.

Exactly. It was such pathetic scoring that one judge gave Oscar the 12th round FFS! Probably in an attempt to balance the score.

At the end it is clear as day 99% of people know Oscar was the better fighter.

The 10th round was close and an argument can be made for either fighter. I feel Oscar fought better in round 10 and also gave it to him. Round 11 was close but I felt it was a Tito round for sure.

Way to many rounds were uneventful for anyone to say DLH dominated or even clearly won.

Why should a judge pick a non-aggressor to give a round to when practically nothing happened in the round?

99 times out of 100, the aggressor gets the round when nothing has happened in it.
People in this thread need to wake up and realize this.

Don't agree with you on the agression point.I believe that the agressor throughout the fight was Tito.

Some of these rounds were close.Tito being the agressor can ake the difference.I disagreed with Lederman on the 9th round though.I thougt that was clearly a delahoya round.

I never like when a fighter is jst trying to steal a round and not engage.

7 rounds to 5 for Trinidad. That honestly was the worst psychological beating I've ever seen in a boxing fight. Oscar felt Trinidad's power and was flat out scared and didn't want to engage him anymore. After that fight it was all downhill for the Goldenboy. Poor guy.

close fight i had oscar by a point, oscar was pretty dominant early in the fight but if you're looking at the fight w pro trinidad bias i could see where you could have a draw or trinidad victory. looking at it from an unbiased point of view i could see a close dlh victory or possibly a draw but no way did trinidad win.

He clearly did, mostly based on aggression. I've seen this fight over 5 times. Oscar DID NOT want to fight Trinidad. He knew he was getting knocked out. He felt Trinidad's power, he didn't want to be in the ring with him again. Which is why he denied the rematches. Trinidad-DLH 2 and I'm almost guarantee'd Oscar gets knocked out.

Trinidad was the aggressor, but it wasn't effective aggression. One way of scoring rounds is through EFFECTIVE aggression. There's more to aggression than just moving forward. I gave Oscar the last three rounds because he landed the cleaner blows. He hit Trinidad with his jab in rounds 10 and 11.

At most, Trinidad won 3 rounds.

So you see aggression as someone simply walking forward, I see aggression as the guy punching the other guy in the face repeatedly no matter what direction he is moving in. And even if Tito was more aggressive it wasn't effective aggression, if it was he would have landed a lot more.

It seems many people don't realize that there's more to aggression than just moving forward and punching. Such as cutting off the ring, which Trinidad showed a complete inability to do in the DLH fight.
