Valuev won it off the jab don't see how the anyone could give it to ruiz :huh he was game enough though and didn't clinch
i was watching this with one eye while pllaying cards with friends. We were all thinking he was winning a wide UD.
I can't believe some people pickng Ruiz or that Japenese judge. Valuev controlled the majority of the fight with his jab I had him winning clearly.
No way in hell that was a KD in round 2 mate, Valuev was never rocked by anything Ruiz landed. Valuev controlled most of the rounds with the jab and in the 7th and 8th he added a few nice right hands as well. Ruiz fought well in the final 3 rounds but not enough to make up for the big hole he was in. He wasn't landing enough prior to that, a sporadic left or right here and there but Valuev was far more consistent.
Valuev won, just like last time, and just like last time, none of the judges were German (or the ref) so stop the robbery nonsense.
Good post, nbt! I watched Valuev vs Ruiz live a few hours ago.I had Valuev ahead on points. No way that Ruiz deserved the victory! Couldnt believe my own ears when Buffer announced that one judge had scored the fight in favour of Ruiz.He must have been blind or American or a relative!
LOL. I never even watched the fight, and just by reading posts I can clearly see who won. 75% of people say Valuev won, and tell *HOW* he won. 20% of people say Ruiz won and *DONT TELL HOW* he won. The other 5% say Ruiz won and actually explain why they think (to these people I give some props though). I think EVERY major fight is argued the same around here. 75% going for the clear winner (or somebody who definitely pulled it out), and the other 25% yell robbery (even if it's close) when the fighter obviously didn't win. Kills me.
I watched a different fight than some I guess. Valuev dictated the fight with his jab. Not as dominating as I had expected, but enough to make it an easy fight to score. Looking forward to seeing the cards to see which rounds were in dispute.
