although this may not have been a bad decision, the fact they weren't german judges doesn't mean there was no corruption. judges regardless of their nationality can be "bought" and they might want non-German judges to make it appear legit

It was really a close fight I even didn't bother to score cause this fight hard to score. It's Valuev fault. He blew the middle rounds. He was discouraged and confused. As a consequence he got hit flush a lot. As for Ruiz it seems he didn't have a game plan. A lot of his activities were not organized.

i had Ruiz winning but it wasn't a robbery. What would have been a robbery was if I had paid to see that crap. Valuev sucks and should thank god that he has an 80 pound advantage on his opponents.

The only thing he has is a decent jab, everything else is pure crap.

    Valuev: 2,3,8?
    Ruis: 1,5?,6,7,9,10,11,12
    draw: 4
    117-112 Ruiz

Even by giving Valuev all rounds I had doubts about, Ruiz would still be ahead 115-113. The last six rounds were all for Ruiz, Valuev was throwing his jab a lot, but was landing almost none of them, whereas Ruiz' hooks to the head and to the body landed regularly. Ruiz also clearly won the 1st round, so that makes it seven sure rounds for Ruiz, two for Valuev and three close rounds.

No way the fight could be scored for Valuev.

I picked Ruiz to win beforehand but I thought he lost last night. It was close, especially with the point deduction but I thought the right man won.

Exactly right. Those jabs were snapping Ruiz' head back constantly. Many close rounds, but a clear win for Valuev in my opinion. 116-113 on my card.

Agreed. Germany has a long history of corruption. You can not win close fights over there.

Only exception I ever witnessed, Maske-Hill in 1996.

I'm tired of every single ruiz fight is always a close contraversial SD. The guy can never clearly win a fight....when is the last time the guy KO'd somebody?

Yea, seriously... I don't care for either guy, but you can't win a fight leading with your head and trying to land haymakers. Besides, Ruiz got his share of gifts anyway.

Yeah, if Ruiz can't KO someone, he could at least GET KOed, so as to stop with the controversy nonsense.
