Agreed. I admit the rounds were close because of hard punches and pressure by diaz, and paulies punches were quite weak. But I value ring generalship and style as well. If your making your opponent look dumb, chances are your dominating the fight. Paulie stayed composed, he was the champ of that fight. And Im assuming he landed way more punches then compubox scored because they were too fast and weak to see. Kinda sucks.
Diaz 115-113 although the opposite wouldnt bother me. People need to relize close fights I mean razor thin close fights do happen in boxing not everything has to be a robbery. Im only upset at **** like 110-118 how did Malignaggi only win 2 rounds ? Boxing judges are idiots same goes for that clown who had Jacobs shutting out Ishe Smith tonight.
i had it 116-112 paulie close on the cards, but the fight was not close...and punch stats seems to agree with me
Paulie clearly won the fight by 2 rounds. What im pissed about is how nothing will be done about the bull**** score cards that had Diaz winning 118=110 and 116-112. So let me get this straight. Paulie only won 2 rounds the whole fight? My friend came in late and watched the fight from round 6 he a big Baby Bull fan and had Paulie winning at least 3 of the last 6. So how could Paulie only win 1 round out of the first 6 rounds. And then 1 round out of the last 6 rounds on that judging score card? ARE U ****ING SERIOUS
:huh How is that??? Most of us actaully watched the fight. Paulie won that fight and Im not a fan of either guy, fact is I went into the fight pulling for Diaz, I wanted to see him bounce back. But that wasnt right, I dont care were your from or who you were pulling for.
I knew somebody on here would say this. There is a difference between a close fight that could have gone either way and a close but clear fight. This was close but clear for Paulie and he got robbed and the lopsided scores show that he didn't have a chance in hell from the beginning.
If it's a close but clear fight, and 90% of people who watched it thought it turned out one way, and the judges saw it another, then it's still a robbery. This isn't an Oscar-Mosley or Pac-Marquez situation. Nearly everyone had Paulie winning the fight, and a number of people who had Diaz winning it are either known Diaz fans or have said they were biased in favor of Diaz. I don't like throwing out the term robbery much, but this one was a robbery.
