Manny Steward RIP: "I've never saw any(?) any tapes or anything of Soliman until tonight. Unfortunately even prior to studying for this show, but from what I can see I woulda never guessed that he had over 5 fights, total, either amatuer or professional." :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl Before his robbery loss to Wright, he had been robbed vs Joval, avenged the robbery with a thorough schooling of Joval, lost a close fight to Eastman, got robbed against Mundine, KOd Deigo Castillo, beat the fukk outta Miguel Julio, beat Bika at his own game and won a half dozen minor/regional titles. Here, Manny is predicting that the judges are going to rob Soliman, admitting that Wright was being befuddled by Solimans style, but would KHTFO after the 3rd..... What followed was a continuance of the first 2 rd, and Soliman roughed Wright up the entire fight. Never really tiring of landing shots on Wrights, arms, shoulder, chest, temple, chin, gut, beltline, liver, kidney, and just about every "legal" and close to legal area. Sadly, the Aussie toughman has never been rewarded for his awkward style like Nazeem had been. And nearing 40, he's having his 7th world title fight counting his tries for the WBF and IBO.:think Stopped only once in his career by Anthony Mundine in a fight that Soliman was severely dehydrated and drained.:-(
Nearly 30 views and no one votes. Haterz gonna hate. Simply b/c Wright is a shining star on many a fanboys fav fighters resume, and beat many a fanboys favorite fighters......yet, Soliman gets no love b/c Winky = establishment, and establishment = cum-guzzling fanboys.:good
I think the low # of votes is more because people have to see the fight first. If you haven't seen it like me it's hard to vote about it in advance.
I know tha 99% of Winky's fights are unwatchable, but Sam Soliman for all his faults is very easy to watch. Awkwardness aside, he makes for exciting fights. Including his robbery to Wright.
