Lots of similarities between this fight and Hughie the Skirt Fury v Parker. Hughie made Parker miss lots and threw half hearted pot shot jabs from range, much like Kid real name Barry Galahad. That's not enough to win a boxing match. It's called boxing not avoiding.

Barry has skills but much like Hughie has learned that you need to show a bit of aggression to win at this level .

Warrington looks lke he could go over to the States and cause a real stir. He's got ability and an engine like no other in that division, he could replicate Ricky Hatton over there with his fanbase. I'm saying all this as someone who detested the lad for years but I can't argue with his ability and I think it shines through more against better boxers, Galahad is decent and belongs at that level but he made it messy. Warrington has grown on me and I hope he can keep this run going and take some more high profile scalps along the way, it's great for British boxing.

You said Frampton would beat the feather-fisted flapper Warrington.
After Warrington beat Frampton he became an ATG in your eyes and he was going to batter Kid G.
Maybe you should give it a rest for a couple of years.

Some people seem to have fallen for the new rules where you get extra points for:
    a) Being the champion
    b) Wearing a LUFC scarf across your face at the weigh-in
    c) Having an obese trainer.

If these haven't been brought in Galahad won.

This "didn't do enough to win the title" is bolox he's either won the fight or he hasn't, be it a 4 round undercard or a world title the scoring has to be honest and transparent.

Haven’t read the thread but Galahad by a couple of rounds for me. Annoys me the way people say you need to do more as the challenger etc. Tough situation for Galahad now though, no ones gunna wanna touch him as he’s a tough nights work but he sells no tickets and isn’t popular. Lose lose after Saturday

    Galahad won.
Hearn will pressure the IBF for a rematch.

You are being way over the top here IMO.

Effective Aggression: Thats goes to Warrington for me both fighter pushed the fight at different stages, momentum swayed throught the fight but Galahad was holding too much to in this category which is illegal hence not effective.

Ring Generalship: Id have that towards Galahad, his movement and switching and constant feints kept Warrington off balance and didnt allow him to set for throwing his usual 4/5 punch combo's.

Defence: You say look at how many punches didnt land but the stats you produce have a difference of 1%!!.....So in theory surely KG was also not landing. 1% to me isnt much at all.

Hard Clean Punches: Well to be fair it should just be clean punches cos that insinuates that jabs do not scored as they are rarely "hard" punches. But like you said not much to choose from, Galahad landed prob the cleaner, sharper punches but Josh landed more of them just maybe not as clean.

I had Josh edging it wouldnt have complained with a draw to be fair (i did have 2 quid on a draw)

Too much of Galahads work was illegal work (whether the ref deducted points or not). Galahad could have won that fight if he hadnt grappled as much and used legal methods to nullify Josh inside and if he was a little more active letting his hands go. Had he done that I dont think there would have been any doubt he would win the fight. Alas he didnt though which cost him.

Josh did enough to win that, it was ugly and a bad performance but he did enough.
The whole 'how to score a fight" outside punches landed is subjective.
Another thing, on t.v in the first rd in the first minute McIntosh beat a on about galahad catching Warrington with a shot, well I saw that perfectly as I was sat ringside, it didn't land on Josh and Josh slipped as he moved away from it but on t.v with McIntosh calling it and the camera angle anyone could be forgiven for thinking it landed, even the man who counts the punches landed.
We would all have to give our reasons for scoring each rd and no one is doing that.
Each to their own, even Naz said galahad didn't do enough.
If anyone who thinks galahad won, wants to break the fight down with me round by round and give our scores, I will do that with them but let me know beforehand as I will have to rewatch with pen and paper to give a full breakdown of the fight and the reasons I'm scoring the rounds to Josh which I do. But tbh I would rather not as it will pain me to watch that again but I do feel I owe it, as I do always bang on about backing Josh.
