In terms of a tougher fight-preparation for the Froch rematch ?

    Abraham or Pavlik ?

IMO Abraham would be a better fight-preparation for Bute than Pavlik because he was more active at a high level. He beat Taylor , Dirrell ( yeah he beat him ) , he gave a good fight to Ward and survived decently against Froch & not to mention about his last win against Stieglitz , who is definitely a better win than Pavlik's last 3 wins ! :yep

p.s but if Bute will fight next with Pavlik I won't mind :D

Pavlik is a bit more stylistically similar.

at this point I want to see Kelly fight anyone good to see what he has. He does have power, but it has been awhile since he has had one of his big knockout wins.

they are similar in some ways but also they are differently in others.

The question is if Pavlik's power is near to Froch's power , cuz if its at almost the same level then Bute may have some big problems .

Both Froch and Pavlik had a common opponent i.e Jeramin Taylor .

Pavlik fought 2 times with Taylor and defeated him once by TKO in 2007 at MW category and second time at 170 pounds cw in 2008 by UD.

Froch defeated Taylor by TKO in 2009 (S6)

The problem is that Froch fought and fights at high level with good results unlike Pavlik , who his last good opponent was Martinez , who beat Pavlik in 2010.

...... also Abraham K.O'd Taylor in S6 :yep

that is what I'm trying to say. At least Abraham kept fighting with decent smw's and had decent results at smw unlike Pavlik who has accumulated some rust .:yep

Depends what you mean by better. Pavlik is the easier fight as he's totally shot.

Pavlik. He has the height and reach, a good fight to prepare for Froch though won't be easy for Bute. If Pavlik handles Bute early he can break him down as Bute slowly tires and stop him. If he fights Abraham, I would pick Bute to get knocked sparks out early.

Bute gets slotted mid rounds against Pavlik.
