In his prime, I would take Roberto Duran to whip em all... They say he was nasty growing up on the streets of Panama...
Against other skilled fighters, or against regular Joe's? If it's against regular Joe's, overwhelming fighters with power like Tyson, Gatti, Duran, Foreman, Maidana would get the job done quickest. If it's against skilled fighters, you need someone with a mean streak in them and be willing to fight dirty and do anything to win. Tyson, Duran and maybe Hopkins come up tops in that case.
Can't believe Tyson is beating Foreman in this poll atsch Big George was a nasty individual back when he was younger, far more terrifying than Tyson and hit twice as hard too. If I had to choose which one I'd want watching my back it'd be George every time.
Dempsey used to clear out whole bars and beat the **** out of blue collar ass holes he was a real tough street fighter not just in the ring Ill take the Mauler
None of these fighters have ever been reported to have beaten up anyone outside of the ring. Mike Tyson has beaten up at least 12-15 people outside the ring over a relatively short period of time.
yo.. i said Tyson before I even saw the list... that dude would knock you out and if not that.. at least bite and kick you... that's more than you can ask for when fighting
Why isn't Edwin Valero on there? Or Evander Holyfield? Or Manny Pacquiao? None of the really tough guys are on there. Even Michael Moorer is missing.
I'd say Haglar based on that list. Tyson is a great boxer but he's not mentally tough enough to be a great fighter. Real fighting isn't about power, speed or physical athleticism, it's about mental sharpness and technique. It's also about killer instinct. Tyson had the killer instinct in the 80s but the Tyson of the 90s after prison was a different person. A fighter like Edwin Valero, I'd know for sure would fight to the death, as would Holyfield, Haglar, Bradley, and a guy like Hopkins would be very difficult to fight in a real fight due to his mental discipline. In a real fight there aren't any rules. Hopkins, Bradley, Holyfield and Haglar have hard heads and they know how to use them. Tyson has a relatively soft head.
Speed is more important than size or strength. A blind fighter is a dead fighter and it only takes one jab to blind a fighter and another strike to kill.
golotas stories of fights outside the ring are well known. For me its duran and foreman. Duran was the tazmanian devil and could knockdown a horse literally while foreman could carry one. Thats why mortals were no match for them
