Had to ask this question with all this "street fighter" talk going on LOL!!

My pick is Smokin' Joe Frazier. I'd bet he would be FEROCIOUS in any kind of street brawl and a dude I would NOT want to face in an angry mood AND in a dark alley!!

Although I agree with you about the martial arts people; Fedor was not accepted into Spetsnaz, although he applied.

Fedor says it's a shame Alexander Karelin didn't do MMA, and I'd definitely put Karelin above Frazier in a street fight.

Oooffff yes Karelin would be terrifying. He'd slaughter Fedor in a wrestling match even though I'm not sure he'd beat him in MMA. There's a difference when combining strikes and submissions into straight wrestling. Just like I'd take Frazier over Fedor in a boxing match. But 'on the street' its another thing.

In the previous thread Chuck Wiggins and Bobby Gunn were my top picks. Since where bringing up other disciplines here I'll include my top picks in Bas Rutten and Igor Vovchanchyn. Vovchanchyn's bare knuckle fights in Ukraine and Russia are still some of the most entertaining fights I've ever watched.

Marco Ruas, King of the Streets. Then there were nasty, heavy handed grappler mailers like Tank Abbot and more technical guys like Don Frye, Dan Severn...but for me, Fedor was the dude. I remember one of his opponents quipping that you could have zero problems in your life when you were training to fight him because he was the biggest problem you'd ever face...

Mark Kerr, Coleman etc would fade away with the gear...good for quick fights, not long brawls.
