lol! Robinson`s combo hooks on the inside would have countered anything Leonard did on the inside, not only were his combo`s a quick as Leonard`s they had more power too.

No way could Leonard knock Fullmer out with one shot, Robinson`s combos when finishing were almost unmatched.

Tommy struggled badly with Roldan and was hurt, it was just a wild brawl.

we saw what happened in the Norris fight when his full abilities were called upon

When he needed to force the action, we saw that he was much less comfortable

He was like a bull who sees red, but no longer wants to move towards the target

I first noticed this in the first fight with Tommy Hearns and it was only when Tommy had weakened in the late rounds that Ray finally stopped losing rounds and tagged him

I believe the words that came from his trainer were "you're blowing it son! you're blowing it!!"

It was a significant win but the performance itself can only be evaluated as marginal

Actually insisting "Ray was no loser" is not accepting it.

Wanting to focus attention to the rematch is not accepting it.

Ray lost to Duran in one of the most legendary upsets and matches in boxing history regardless of your impression.

I dont dispute that he lost. Duran outfought him although I never found out what the odds were

I'm just saying that the way he lost is not a bad way to lose

Leonard was an overwhelming favorite and this isn't hard to find information. I literally just googled "Leonard Duran odds"

Duran never had trouble with runners early in his career
Duran's lifestyle caught up with him in this fight, plain and simple

You're dismissing Roldan as if he didn't also hurt Nunn a year later. Roldan was legitimate. He gave Hagler and Nunn a good challenge.

What does "just a wild brawl" even mean? You could say the same of Hagler-Hearns, is that now not a career-defining victory for Marvin?

Robinson was far better than Leonard, SRL would be dangerous though due to his amazing speed and power that saved him v Hearns in 81.

Jose Napoles and Emile Griffith came to mind straight away, but whenever I think of boxing they're always there. I've mentally made them an unofficial duo.
