I don't see Martinez lasting the distance against Golovkin.

I don't know but I think Hagler vs GGG in their primes would be the greatest fight ever.

Maravilla maybe but Pavlik ?????????? Golovkin is technically far ahead and would land at will. Golovkin stops Pavlik inside 10 Rounds

Yeah that's what they said would happen when he fought Miranda and Taylor. Pavlik was a beast in his prime, and would give GGG every thing he could've handled.

Cant argue with a word of this. He's good enough to beat anyone ever and the top boys are good enough to beat him too, luck on the day

Are you comparing GGG to Miranda and Taylor? GGG is more comparable to Martinez and Hopkins and look what happened when pavlik fought them.

Pavlik definitely puts up a serious fight prime, I don't think it goes 12 though

No, I'm merely stating people tended to underrate Pavlik's chances back in the day before big fights, and he pulled out the wins regardless, and based on how Taylor was viewed what is wrong with comparing GGG to the version of Taylor that fought Pavlik? He had two close controversial wins over Hopkins going into the match, and afterward, ran both AA and Froch close, before the last round violent KO's. But going into the first fight, Taylor was not some kind of "bum". And GGG isn't a backfoot counter puncher like Maravilla or a mugging master spoiler like Hopkins, even though he beat Pavlik by outworking him, GGG wouldn't have the weight advantage that B-Hop had.

no he's not comparing him to miranda and taylor. he's right to point out that everyone said the same thing about pavlik prior to those fights. that's not comparing the fighters. also, ggg is nothing like martinez who pavlik fought 2 weeks after being released from rehab (which is documented) and he's nothing like hopkins who pavlik fought at lhw.

that said, ggg is a beast and i think he gives as good as he gets against damn near anyone at mw. their are some historical matchups that would be great to watch like monzon, hagler, lamotta, etc. jones was a freak but his time at mw wasn't all that long, hopkins was green as hell when they fought and he never fought anyone like a prime ggg at mw so i'm not going to write ggg off in that fight.

back to pavlik, though, he was overrated on his way up and now he's very underrated. ggg has never not been found in a fight he's just always been able to brush everything off and fight his fight. that's not the easiest thing to do with someone like pavlik. dude had an iron chin, always came forward and would have significant height and reach on ggg. i think it would be a great fight. ggg is a much better boxer but he might be more than a little distracted once he feels that right and sees that it's going to keep coming.
