Weren't all you guys complaining about the size of Jacobs?

Well , Kelly is bigger than Jacobs , hits a lot harder and has a much better chin.

Ive seen enough of Golovkin to know that he won't rush guys who can stand up to him inside the wheel house.
His lack of defense against a puncher like Pavlik is cause for some serious concern as well.

No one would be clear favourite over him

Hagler or Monzon could do it, but are just as likely to lose

That's the level GGG was on in his prime

Combination of sublime skills, ferocious power and an absolute granite Karaganda chin makes him H2H as good as any 160 to ever do it

They've actually erected a statue in Karaganda of GGG and his dad (RIP) holding a slab of the Karaganda granite that GGG's chin is made out of.

no, his level was bumkilling in his prime but hes risen above that to world level since, and in his last ifght proved elite.

In his thirties his career really took off, was promoted a title, won one title off lemmy to unify and I think there was a third but cant recall the bout.

Thats a massive step up from his IBO unrated days.

We are talking about hypothetical prime, Golovkin would walk Leonard down and KO him at middleweight. Watch the film,Hagler was shot when he fought Leonard. I'd favor Hagler over GGG, but he'd give any middleweight all he wanted, he'd bust up Emile Griffth, and Hopkins would be punished in a UD. Roy would be interesting, he could capture a UD or he could get nailed later, GGG applies pressure and has a great jab.

hagler and leonard were a breed apart.

They had achieved ATG status and retired by the same age that 3G got his first world title.

They really arent in the same ballpark, even in the same cities.

thats said, 3G could go onto to reach their level, depending on what he does for the rest of his career.

GGG would land much more jabs on Nunn than Starling did and he will throw more also, Nunn really struggled with Starling whereas GGG would of dealt with Marlon a lot better.

I don`t feel Leonard was a great middle, who couldn`t deal with the heavier shots as well as he could at welter.

Out of the fighters you mentioned only SRR could match GGG`s jab output.

Leonard faded badly v Hagler and GGG would put more pressure on Ray than Marvin did and BJS has never faced pressure like that.

Based on their respective performances against Danny Jacobs, I'd say Pirog decisively beat Golovkin.

McClellan was awful v Nigel Benn, he missed way more than GGG would vs Nigel and he had no defense in that fight, even at super middle GGG would have destroyed Benn, GGG`s jab would be a real problem for SRR just like LaMotta`s was in his final fight v Ray, here`s footage of Ray admitting LaMotta outjabbed him for ten rounds before wilting, at 1:27

Yeah, I still take Gman, **** shame the way the ref handled the knock out of the ring, savage rabbit punches over and over., He was blinking bad the last 2 rounds showing u something was wrong. I don't dismiss that.

RIP Manny Steward said when he was young, it was common knowledge that Ray's handlers didn't want him fighting those who prefaced a jab. So I agree Ray could be susceptible to a jab. especially against a guy who he fought more than twice or thrice, five?

While I gave my predictions I don't really question those who disagree, its a fantasy match-up, how serious can we be?!:nusenuse:

Wow thanks for that bit about Ray`s handlers and their take on jabbers, it`s been something I`ve been wondering since I watched parts of the last LaMotta v Robi fight, maybe it is true that he ducked Burley then.
