I would have picked RJJ to beat anyone 175 and under in his peak but Beterbiev has an inhuman, superhuman/ force of nature quality about him. And he hits hard enough to hurt people with cuffing punches even in the clinch. And he doesnt just plod in, very smart feet, which mitigates his lack of headmovement. His punching technique is weird, he doesnt rotate or snap 80% of his punches but it seems to work. Tough call. Very tough call. I mean Charles and Spinks are good picks. But I wouldnt actually put my money on anyone. That doesnt mean i think Beterbiev is GOAT at 175. It just means im very impressed. Lets see after he fights someone like Bivol with speed and equal or better feet than him.
Beterbiev would beat them all. We didn't know what kind of star we had in the sky. Bivol should avoid Beterbiev at least for the whole of 2024.
Peak for peak, Beterbiev has no shot of beating Jones Jr. I'm assuming all those votes have to do with the concept that Jones chin is bad. During Jones' peak years, Beterbiev would have been like everyone else, he wouldn't have hit RJJ.
