Who would bother Joe? Tito, Oscar, Winky or Tarver?

  1. It's a question thats just popped into my mind whilst reading the forums, who from that list would bother Joe because honestly I can't see how any of them would have if they ever fought in primes or otherwise. In fact I'd say the one with the closest shot would be tarver just for his size but the shot that took Jones down in their 2nd fight simply wouldn't have Ko'd Joe, Joe is far more solid chinned Jones problem was he'd never been hit in the face that hard alot - if ever hence the KO.

Yes, this will no doubt lead to some jumping to Hopkins defence because thats the way they interpret it but if you're knowledgable enough you just cannot pick any of those guys over Joe could you? Some may say Winky's shell defence would be a problem for Joe maybe but my answer to that would be one simple word: Angles. Something Joe accels at.

    Thoughts?

Tarver, due to his size and physical strength. But honestly, Joe beats all of them.

Tito really shouldn't be involved in this discussion....he's waaaay out of his weight range against Joe.

    Oscar too.

    Tarver might.

Tarver would give him a hard time, if he fought him back in 06, it would be a 50/50 IMO.

As much as I love Tito, any fight above 154 is pointless.

They're all too small for him, but ...

    TITO gets outclassed

Oscar makes it competitive with his speed and boxing ability

Winky is very tricky with very good d

Tarver, IMO has what it takes to beat Joe

None of these guys bother Calzaghe too much.

Of course, if we go through Calzaghe's opponents, none of them both Hopkins much.

Glen Johnson would have been a tougher fight than the fighters listed, even though he is not as great as them overall (outside of Tarver)

Maybe Tarver but not with a pawing range-finder... Tarver loses every single round against Calzaghe fighting like against Hopkins if that is the issue. The problem is that Warren should have gotten Tarver or Winky when Hops got in first... Now, Hopkins is a harder problem to solve than those would have been.

i don't see how you could say that the shot that took down RJJ wouldn't phase Joe...:-( That lucky shot had enough on it to knock out a mule.

Probably a prime Oscar, or a prime tarver.
