    Calzaghe has an unblemished record. Hopkins has seleced opponents very carefully down the years.

    De La Hoya (first man to K.O him)
    Pavlik (undefeated)
    Tarver (jumped 2 divisions to face him for the lineal title)

    Winky (tough fight for anyone)
    Calzaghe (undefeated)

    The only man he didnt defeat on that list is Calzaghe

    He fought some lesser names like

    Taylor
    Echols
    Joppy

    Calzaghe fought
    Lacy (undefeated)
    Bika
    Kessler (undefeated)
    Hopkins
    RJJ

    I think its clear that Hopkins fought and defeated better fighters overall and by that logic he is greater

    Ffs i used to love calzaghe. but his post retirement attitude and that of fans like you have put me right off him! veit is so wank i aint even gonna justify it...i want joe to come back an fight froch an get kayod!

    Calzaghe did not go near America when everyone over there was in their prime. He ducked Froch and at lightheavy ignored Clinton Woods. He was very good...a legend... but unbeaten does not make you a great..he was a 'fed homeboy' who never travelled other than to fight 'oldmen' in money making nonsense fights...sorry Bernard Hopkins is above Joe Calzaghe

    I can't say who should rank higher if calzaghe had hopkins record I'm pretty sure he would still be undefeated...

    maybe would have a loss against glen johnson ... i'm not sure
