Who you think would have the better super middleweight career? Abraham or Pavlik ...

There's a chance that these two will not fight at middleweight, but there is a great chance that they would fight each other at super middleweight.

Abraham looked very strong at super middle. Pavlik looked like he lost his sharpness above middleweight. So from the evidence so far it looks like Abraham.

Pavlik has the more transferable style though. Maybe Abraham's power will not always get him off the hook against good boxers that are stronger at 168. Pavlik always brings work-rate, a reasonable consistent jab.

The best performance in aa's career in my opinion was at the catch weight, never seen him carry his power and he was really compact with his punches(first right hand that knocked down miranda was beautiful), looked like he was comfortable, quicker on his feet too. So I have to say aa, the thing is Pavlik moved up to fight BHOP, which is unfair to compare the two, but I am convinced AA moving up is going to be the better carreer choice because I see a lot of beatable fighters at smw!

Anything over 160 is at super middleweight - catchweight or not

They would both be very good fighters at SMW. AA would've a height disavdantage against nearly all fighters though. Mike Tyson on the other hand wasn't exactly a giant, but his punching power was huge. Personally I think the only active fighters at SMW who really would give AA trouble are Kessler and Taylor.

Altough Abraham looked excellent at 166 with Miranda,I'd tend to say Pavlik.
All this ''get'em wild huge punches or block up'' won't work to infinity for Arthur.

Andrade would make an interesting fight for AA at SMW. Once he goes to SMW he can kiss his German hometown advantage good by. He won't win rounds throwing so few punches elsewhere. Even someone like Andrade would have to be a KO win for AA.

Hermit I was actually thinking of this fight today and the rate andrade gets hit, I dont care if has one of the best chins in boxing, against aa , andrade has a good chance of getting knocked out. I also think andrades power is decent and it showed against Bute, he was hurting him but not to the point of dropping him, I think he would have a harder time against aa's defense and counters, would you agree?

Abraham is a natural Super Middleweight. I think he would do better.

I'd have to look into it a bit more. I don't know what Adrade's height/reach is against AA. AA still goes to the rope when pressured. AA throws less so there is less to defend. It is more about timing with him. Miranda was the heaviest puncher AA faced but Miranda doesn't know how to work against someones guard. Too many things I don't know to form more of an opinion. This was just a fight that popped into my mind that seems like it would be a tough match up for him in response to another poster.

Jeeezus...yes while Kelly won one against the best version of JT we'd seen to that point, and lost one to P4P #4 Bernard Hopkins....who put on his self proclaimed best performance of his life.

    Got damn..:bart
