Roy Jones Jr ducked the lineal world champion in his weightclass Dariuz Michalsewski for many years. One day Roy Jones JR jumped up in weigh and beat one John Ruiz and made doing so look easy and won the WBA heavyweight championship. Similarily Floyd Mayweather Jr has been ducking one Manny Pacquiao for many many years so the question is who would Floyd Mayweather Jr need to beat for his ducking of Manny Pacquiao to be forgiven and forgotten? Even though these stories are somewhat similar there are many differences, one is that even though hardcore boxing fans really wanted to see Roy Jones Jr fight Dariuz Michalsewski they weren't really screaming for that fight like people have been screaming for Floyd VS Manny, another is that there really weren't no boxing fans around that were claimin that Dariuz had such a big chance of upsetting Roy Jones Jr, people just wanted to see that fight cause people always want to see the best fighters in every division duke it out. Bearing all this in mind you couldn't simply put Floyd Mayweather into the frame of a Roy Jones Jr and have him fight a Johnny Ruiz for everything to be forgiven and forgotten, no Floyd Mayweather would have to surpass the achievement of defeating a Johnny Ruiz type of character. It also has to be kept in mind that Johnny Ruiz was always seen as a joke of a heavyweight champion, not worthy of facing Lennox Lewis the real HW champion at that time. Johnny Ruiz was also not the biggest HW having started his career at cruiserweight and was constantly ridiculed for the style of hugboxing that he used. So who would the fighter be that Floyd Mayweather would have to go through for everything to be forgiven?
If Floyd would have fought Martinez I think the Pacquio fight would have been a non issue .But we know Maravilla is to slick
so you think in 2009 and 2010 also from december 2011 to feb 2012 floyd was the one running from the fight being made ? :scaredas: honestly...?
