hatton hating aside here, taking into consideration hatton has 2 - 3 fights max left, can he get to p4p no1? if so who will he have to beat in these fights. my opinion is if he beat both Pac and JMM, he'd be close for me.
If floyd returns he would have to beat pac and floyd, if floyd doesn't return pac and jmm would be fine.,
If he and his opponents performed impressively, he'd have a good chance if he beat Pacquiao at 140 lbs, Cotto or Mosley at 147 lbs and Williams at 154 lbs, in my view.
He'd be no.1 if he beat Pac and JMM....easily. Beat p4p no.1 in pac....JMM goes no no.1 Beats p4p no.1 in JMM...Hatton no.1 How could you beat 2 different p4p no.1 2 fights in a row and not go to no.1?? would anyone have matched that in the history of boxing?
in a perfect world (im a big hatton fan), hatton beats manny, goes up to 2 or 3 p4p. Then takes on marquez at 140 (JMM has stated he wants to be 1st mexican to win titles at 5 different weights), which i believe would be a easier fight than manny for hatton. If he beats JMM hatton becomes no1 p4p. Then i have no doubt that floyd would come back 4 a rematch with hatton because of the huge ammount of money and becasue of the fact he probably believe he would beat hatton again maybe even easier than he did 1st time. 100,000 wembley stadium. beautiful!
Would Cotto be p4p No. 1 if he beat Pacquiao and Marquez at 147 lbs? If not, why not, according to you and your argument so far? Or to put it differently, if Hatton beat Pacquiao and Marquez and then got beaten by Cotto at 147 lbs, would Cotto become the new p4p No. 1? If not, why not?
