I hope it wasn't JLC because he wasn't p4p when they fought. He was shot

Paulie may have been top 25 at best

That was pre-Pac fight. If he beats Pac and JMM, he needs another JWW title holder to solidify a claim to #1P4P...

Actually prior to the Castillo fight he was ranked #10 by ring. So he was actually a p4p fighter. I know I know I don't agree either but theres the facts.

prob was castillo as he had not lost since the corrales fight i would need to see the ring list for 2007 to see if he was p4p.

Apparently so see above your post:nut

Good win for Hatton anyway given the manner of the win but JLC was way best his prime and fighting mainly for $

You rate Hattons resume ahead of Cottos? Is that what you're saying?

i agree, although no one expected hatton to beat him so decisively, since he had never even been down before let alone ko'd

i would have them about the same, although hatton's best win is far better than anything of cotto's

I'd say a win over a past prime Tszyu and a win over Mosley who has since KO'd Mayorga and Margarito is more comparable than Hatton fans give credit for. Also what is Hatton 2nd best win??Paulie or JLC based on rating I'd say.Cotto also holds a W over Paulie aswell as beating Quintana who since beat PW and Judah is also a good name

That's something I've never considered but is very interesting...

Does the level of the performance of both fighters in a particular fight help/hinder a boxer travelling on the P4P list?

For example, as a hypothetical, Oscar was easily the number one fighter on every sane persons P4P list (only a hypothetical remember) before his fight with Pac, who was number three, a hit behind JMM. Now, because ODH was terrible in that fight, with all Pac's punches landing and the tiny number that Oscar threw being blocked. Would that mean that there was less chance of people putting Pac ahead of JMM at number two?
Or if they both fought fantastically, in a very close fight, where Oscar was proving his place as the best fighter in the World and an ATG but ultimately Pac wins by UD, or even a knock out/TKO in the 12, would that mean there was a much bigger chance of Pac moving ahead of JMM and possibly ODH?

I know, I know there are no strict rules and P4P is completely personal and comparable to someone giving a list of their favourite ten records of all time but... well, what are your thoughts, please?

That would be perfect, mate! Absolutely beautiful!

Especially the career climax Vs Mayweather at Wembley!!

And can you imagine if he won all those fights (all the anti-Hatton brigade, please don't come back at me with various "LOL's" and telling me I'm delusional. I'm just dreaming, not saying it would be possible!). Would that make him the best British boxer of all time? I think it would make him top 3/4.

That would be so ****ing wonderful! I'm going to go looking for a chicken wish-bone and keep my eyes on the sky for a shooting star tonight!
