judah was coming off of two straight losses when cotto fought him, and quintana has done nothing much yet, he may have beat paul williams but didn't do so well in the rematch. as far as mosley it was a good win, but the fight could have gone either way on the cards and cotto was favourite. koysta was thought unbeatable at 140 and hatton made him quit.

like i say you make arguments for both.

Hehe. How can something be "more than equal"? Especially the example you are using (Pac not getting under LWW anymore).

    Castillo?

And I'm sick of people saying the win over Collazo was "dubious". Was it ****!!

Better than Len Lew? He would be finishing his career with a pretty amazing resume! I believe he has a great resume right now, no matter how much people whine about decrepit opponents or whatever, I think he's got some very, very good names on his list! Even his pre-Kostya fights were against some very good and tough fighters. Obviously not World class but definitely good enough contenders for the level Ricky was recognised to be within at that time.

I would be happy to put him at number 3 ATBritishG, after winning those future three dream fights.

I believe he was the definite winner in a very tough fight where he was ill and, due to the illness, hadn't trained properly.
I don't mean to make excuses for his performance, obviously if anyone in Rick's camp believed the illness could affect him enough, then they would have suspended the fight.

P.s. Apologies. I didn't realise you had established he was talking about Castillo. I'm replying to posts as I come up to them, which is a bad posting habit I have, often finding I'm replying to things that were already resolved hours or days previous.

Yes he would have beaten the top 3 p4p fighters as well as tyszu, lewis is one of my favourites but beating 3 possbile p4p number 1 fighters is pretty special.

    Yeah, you're right mate.

I would be so interested in hearing what the Hatton-haters (and they really do hate him) on this board would have to say if he did manage to beat those three P4P number ones and ATG, Hall of Famers.

That would be very, very interesting.

A close W over Mosley is better than a close W over Collazo:deal

you got me there ;) although i wasn't comparing the level of comp in those fights, and cotto is a natural WW now, hatton isn't.
