OK lets say there was a big showdown between hatton and dlh at a catrchweight of 149lbs (hatton would probably weigh 144, 145) and then pacquiao goes up to fight malignaggi at 140 who do you guys think would have more chance pacman or hatton? i would go for pacquiao seeing as his speed and aggressive nature may get through malignaggi even though i would favour paulie because i dont see hatton beating dlh right now
Pacquiao has a chance at 140 since he can do 144 easily. Anything higher than that is plain suicide. Hatton against Hoya, who may know. Even if Hatton lost convincingly at Mayweather whom Hoya fought greatly. Hatton still have a chance if he can improve a lot better than before. So both have good chances well anyone has good chances, it will only depend on how the fighter will train and focus on their bouts.
I dont think Hatton is a big puncher at 140, let alone 154. De la Hoya wanted to fight him as he is a name fighter with support and therfore lots of money! De la Hoya would win pretty quick in my eyes around the 4/5th. Pac would have more of a chance only because the fights you have chosen are a bit unfair, you cannot compare De la Hoya with Malignaggi!
Not necessarily. Remember, Malignaggi took shots from Cotto. Pacquiao isn't going to hurt him at 140 IMO. And Malignaggi can outbox Pacquiao. Hatton may have a better shot since DLH is well past it.
Loosing a split decision to the #1 P4P in the world in a highly technical bout does not make you well past it. DLH will do to Hatton what he did to Mayorga but much earlier and much bloodier. You have to remember in DLH's fights if the other guy does not have a very highly developed defence he messes them up pretty bad. DLH ko round three. Malignaggi does not have much power but against a smaller sloppier fighter would probably make Pac look bad for five rounds and ko him by sixth. These fights wouldn't be worth watching, they'd be so one sided.
