    I agree with many of the others, that Lyle has the best chance here.

    I do not think so with all due respect to your opinion. Ron Lyle gained fame by dropping an ego deflated George Foreman in Jan 1976 post Zaire. A prime pre Zaire Foreman would have not been dropped, he would have been the easy knockout winner. A deflated ego takes away confidence in a fighter, creating self doubt.

    I agree with you.

    I don't think Lyle has much of a chance against Smoking Joe either. I just think he has the best chance of the two mentioned, Lyle or Young. I'd bet on Smoking Joe against either one.

    To be fair, Young was very green when Shavers knocked him out.

    He was but even in the rematch against a more experienced Jimmy Young, Shavers was able to floor Young again and earn himself a draw. Considering Young wasn't a guy that went down easy and fought the likes of Lyle, Norton, Ali, Foreman, Cooney, without ever being off his feet. It's quite impressive Shavers was able to floor Young 4 times in 2 fights.
