Who would have won between Bowe and the version of Moore that fought Marciano?

Moore in 1955 was struggling with his conditioning and was getting long in the tooth, so If Bowe came in top form he’d stop Moore, but if he came in heavy I could see Moore taking a decision off him. However, I’d pick Moore from 1951-1953 on the other hand to beat Bowe and possibly even Marciano himself.

Bowe, very easy. Bowe was one of the most talented heavyweights in history as far as pure skills are concerned. He , if he had the dedication of Holyfield would've been a top 5 ATG. He was that skilled! But his dedication drops him down 25 -40?. But if were talking prime vs prime Bowe would handle Moore very easy for many different reasons. If the fight went longer then 8-9 rds. It would be a small Miracle for Moore. Bowe by Ko under 8rds .

This fantasy matchup holds no level of intrigue because Moore just doesn't stand a chance.

Moore is too good to be destroyed that quickly. That said Moore from Marciano fight is not his best version. I can see 1953-54 Archie outboxing Bowe, he was faster, smarter and strong enough to earn Bowe respect. Moore from Rocky fight would lose though, probably in similar period as against Marciano (maybe a bit earlier).

You vastly underestimate Moore's abilities. He wasn't small man at all and he fought better against bigger and slower fighters.

What skills did Bowe have that Moore didn`t? Moore had far better defensive skills than Bowe did.

Moore would surprise everyone by giving Bowe a great battle. Just little things like using angles out hustling him in the dead spots of a round. Maybe getting a big guy into deep water and taking advantage. At the Same time Bowe would probably think it would be an easy fight. And when that happens you end up having a tougher time.
Lack of intensity by Bowe+ Archie's experiance and bag of tricks = The Old Mongoose with his hand raised.

I think Moore might be able to outslick Bowe. Bowe's size is going to be problematic, however.
