Who would have won, the Mike Tyson who beat Trevor Berbick or the Jack Dempsey who beat Jess Willard

This is all untrue and I'm afraid you don't understand what infighting is. I've posted footage of Tyson unload incredibly short range, not mid range. You're simply confusing pressure with in fighting. Tyson took breaks in the clinches and wasn't a pressure guy but his inside game is second to none.

You also don't seem to understand that no competant clincher will ever have an issue with the type of blows an infighter can throw because his arms will be completely locked. I suggest asking on an MMA if you wish to disagree, as you will receive an education.

As for Dempsey being a better infighter than Tyson. I don't think I've ever seen him throw an uppercut

I love how the geek narating the video tries to make high level science out of sitting on your punches and swinging from the fences

I have to say to you very respectful, that while you have valid contributions to make to this forum, you clearly do not understand some key fundamentals of boxing technique, and one of them is infighting.

Throwing an uppercut does not make you an infighter.

An infighter is somebody who throws every punch in the book, form the position where you would throw an uppercut from.

Having short arms does not make you an infighter either.
He didn't take breaks in the clinches.

He basically couldn't do anything else.
I wonder if you have even watched the video!

If you try to clinch an infighter, they will counter you before you can initiate the clinch, so in roder to clinch them you have to take a shot to the ribs.

There are also ways that an infighter can frustrate a clinch.

If clinching worked against infighters, then why didn't everybody who fought Henry Armstrong do it?

They didn't do it, because it didn't work!

Clinching in MMA is a whole different ball game, because the gloves allow more grappling, and you can use a whole universe of techniques that are banned in boxing.
The uppercut is the most useful punch for the infighter, but it is not the only punch.

An all time infighter, uses practically every punch in the book!

Watch it from start to finish.

    You might actually learn something.

It might be something that you don't want to learn, but that shouldn't matter, if you care about what is true!

Gotta love Tyson fans. The same Tyson who did **** all on the inside and allowed himself to be tied up numerous times and who's oppenents would rest on the inside, where they felt safest is now an inside God despite film clearly showing us otherwise.

Dempsey and Tyson were both viscous , lighting fast, murderous punching machines at the points in their careers mentioned .. that said, Mike was a thirty five pound larger man, a true heavyweight while Dempsey , at this point in time in my opinion should be judged as a cruiserweight .. there are weight divisions for a reason .. I would favor Tyson early .. no knock on Jack .. I'd pick Jack early over Julian Jackson ..

He was a great fighter trained by a genius mentor. Mike studied great fighters like Duran and learned from them.

His hooks were amazing to body and head as were his uppercuts.
