Just curious to see everyone's thoughts on Hopkins vs. Toney if they had ever met at middleweight.

Would've probably ended in a draw.

I'd go for Hopkins just. I doubt it would have been an exciting fight.

Hmmm. Hopkins just about. Toney would beat him above 160.

    Hopkins UD

I feel his footwork, movement, and variety of angles would have frusturated Toney.

Close Hopkins victory at MW, SMW, LHW. As Manny Steward said, Hopkins was always a natural LHW. He proved that at 40+ and at LHW Toney had troubles even with Griffin.

In the highter classes I wouldn't choose a winner as CW and HW is too much for Hopkins and at those weight classes Toney's steroid use probably made a very important effect. Said thing to write that down but you just can't rule that out.

I'd go with Toney at middleweight...his speed and defensive abilities would of landed him a UD no matter how much Hopkins tried to hold and headbutt.

Hopkins outworks Toney for a clear UD.

Toney at middleweight was horribly inconsistent.

he should've lost to tiberi and the mccallum rematch. the johnson fight could have gone either way too.

he improved once he left 160. experience, and more comfort at the weight.

    hopkins ud toney

I didn't like Toney at 160, at that weight Hopkins would win

I'd take Toney at the higher weights
