Fighting with a torn retina would have been a bad, dangerous idea for Spence.

That said, if he had done so, knowingly or otherwise, I don't think it would have changed the likely outcome, which was IMO, a points win for Spence.

It would have elevated Manny slightly in that he would have gone out against the best in the division rather than the fifth or sixth best.
