Clottey didn't have any problems making Margarito take backwards steps.

Cotto, OTOH, hit Margarito with everything, inlcuding the kitchen sink, all night long - but was unable to even make him think about taking a step backwards.

Cotto's power @ 147 is overrated and I think the Margarito fight proves that.

Cotto wasn't sitting down on any of his punches that's why.

He was constantly on the move

If he had of layed into Margarito like he did Jennings then we could have been seeing a different type of fight.

Maybe Cotto might have been better off slugging it out toe to toe with Margarito and bombing him out of there lol

Exactly who has Cotto KO'ed @ 147 other than glass jawed fighters and no-hopers?

compubox punches for cotto & clottey vs judah:

Cotto - landed total of 292 with 214 power shots

Clottey - landed total of 122 with 114 power shots

*granted clottey stopped judah by 'cuts' but it was quite evident that josh was breaking zab down for the inevitable stoppage*

Why quote only my final statement rather than all of the facts that back up my point but prove yours wrong??? The ultimate admission of "I have nothing to refute these points"!!! LMAO!!!

    :hi:

Cotto wasn't sitting down on his punches because he doesn't believe in his power @ 147lbs. Besides that, Cheatarito showed early in the fight that he had no fear of Cotto's power. Shane, OTOH, does believe in his power and was sitting down on his punches in the fight with Cheatarito.

Cotto was smart to run from Tony simply because he does not have big power as a WW...

Actually some might say that Cotto's belief in his power was what led him to fight the wrong fight.

If that were the case then Cotto's belief was misplaced.

    Its called ducking the facts.

Cotto has more KO's (7 more), in less fights, against clearly greater competition.

Even against common opponents, Cotto's power stands on its own merit...Judah was dropped twice and stopped vs Miguel...vs Clottey, he was barely down on the cards and quit due to a cut.

Vs Margo, as you said, Clottey made Tony back up a few times...but to say Cotto didnt is an outright lie and is really only going on the last few rounds of the fight. Check the highlights...

    (god I love that hl)

I could go on and on...but the fact is, history and facts back up Cotto having more power then Joshua. Nothing backs up Clottey in that arguement outside of your opinion of course!!!
