Who would win a round robin between all of comeback Foreman's circus opposition?

After rereading it, you're almost certainly right. Went right over my head.

In case he was being serious, I'll stick with Rodrigues.

‘Geezer Cooney’ & ‘Just partied all night Cooper’ were amusingly empty insults. Foreman is seven or eight years Cooney’s senior, & I suppose he should have checked in on Cooper the morning of their fight, seen he was hungover, & called the match off.

    Weak, George. Weak.

The only bemusing thing occuring here is your sensitivity about the reality that comeback Foreman padded his record and took the path of least resistance (That's putting it mildly) until the paydays started coming in.

His comeback started and ended pounding on hopelessly over-matched fighters with inflated records like Crawford Grimsley and Jimmy Ellis, both glorified clubfighters.

Might it be that you have a dog in this fight and can't stand to see one of your heroes take a little needling?

Amusing & bemusing are unrelated words.

Considering my favourite fighter of all-time is Joe Frazier, not particularly in answer to your question, & that’s putting it pretty mildly. But I do find it pretty bizarre that people expect Foreman to behave as though he were a 20-year-old just climbing out of the gutter. He was obese & fighting between the ages 38-48. Those aren’t advantage enough for his opponents? & it isn’t all one-way with enemies selected, either. Foreman was a poor proposition for younger fighters - beat him up & you only defeated a fat old man, lose or struggle & it would certainly hurt your image as a young fighter.

He called from the rooftops for Tyson from day one, & fought prime versions of Holyfield & Moorer (both undefeated). I guess you expected him to tackle Lewis & Bowe en route? Which other fighters in their forties do you hold to such account?

If you fight Frazier, Norton and Ali in less than 2 years you should get a lifetime exemption from being called a duck.

Foremans title fight opponents in the 90s had a combined 158-2 record, 194-3 record if you count Morrison. Only Savarese and Grimsley never fought for another title. Grimsley is an extreme outlier who never did anything else and has one of the shortest careers of any contender. Outliers happen. Foreman also beat 2x title contender Cooney and future contender Bert Cooper.

Lewis and Tyson didn't fight Bowe or Moorer
Bowe didn't fight any top guy except Holyfield

Besides Holyfield(who fought everyone with mixed results) none of the top 90s HWs fought more than 2 of the other top guys. Foreman met that standard.

    Why mock Foreman?

But Cooney was old (the best part of a decade younger than Foreman, mind), & Cooper had partied all night. & Bowe & Lewis & Tyson aren’t Foreman. Don’t you follow the logic?

With language like "My favorite fighter is actually X!" I can see the writing on the wall here and have no real desire to continue engaging you. Your narrative is so flowery and biased you'd fit right in as a member of team Foreman back in the day. That or a politician.

Bizarre. I haven’t been personal or irrational with you. Stick to your echo chamber, then.

Your snide comments and general attitude are pretty unbecoming for someone who's been here for like two weeks.

If "staying in my echo chamber" translates to me not having to deal with anymore of your "I'm unequivocally right and you're dumb for having a different opinion!" nonsense then I guess I'm going to get comfortable in here.

Who are you going to discuss it with though? There’s no support in this thread are you going to blackball everyone?

Lol at the most blatant sarcasm ever going right over your head.

PS, you shouldn't need "support" to function on a internet boxing forum. I can see you're all about needing other people to validate your own thoughts though. Weak Ney, weak.

See how annoying that passive smart-ass **** is? No? :hang

Lots of sarcasm here but no one who disagrees with you is upset. Simply disagreeing.

I bet pestering strangers on the internet is making your day and everything but I've got things to do.
