Who would win between Archie Moore or James Bonecrusher Smith?

I feel Moore could have outboxed Smith but would have to put on weight to fight as a modern heavy or an 80`s heavy to cope with Smith`s strength which would slow down enough for Smith to catch him with his power shots, do fans agree? Could Smith have beaten the more skillfull but much smaller Moore?

Welcome back mate. I'll give the benefit of the doubt to Archie but I think Smith's size could cause some problems

 

Moore easily outboxes Smith and wins by UD or late KO

I got Bonecrusher stopping him in 10....but if not Moore takes a close decision.

MOORE so much better heighth wt no difference,when talent is concerned .Ol Arch took out Alejandro Lavorante in LA ,AL so much taller. Smith wasn't much in my book, only beat acouple real good heavies,hung onto Tyson ,Moore would take him out before 12

 

Smith was able to take Bruno`s punches though and Frank punched a lot harder than Moore.

 

Moore should win by decision in a one-sided fight.

Smith comes from miles behind to ko Moore .

 

I think this vid proves Moore could have been beat by Smith, he was getting caught here and Smith was much heavier than this Cuban and had a bigger punch.

 

You never know. You could be right. I was a fan of Bones Smith. He was very strong man and could take anyone out if he hurt them.

I just think the record shows he struggled with nearly every good fighter.
