Joe's win over bhop is good on paper but it was horrid to watch seeing 43 year old guy throwing single digit punches. I would much prefer to see him fight Chaw Dawson.

Personal i don't think Joe can slap hard enough to trouble Chad. IMO Chad is stronger, Faster, hits a lot harder and would put a serious hurting on Joe. Chad by Decision.

I don't think Dawson has the savvy to beat Joe.

I've only seen Dawson twice and he didn't impress either time. If thats all he's got then Calzaghe will win.

Chances are Joe would struggle due to Dawson's sheer size advantage and Joe's lack of speed at LH. Judging by the B-Hop fight, going up in weight has removed Calzaghe's main advantage, his hand speed and lateral movement, and the added punching power gained by being at a higher weight is negated by the fact that he can't let his hands go as they're made of rice paper. He still has the craft to out-box Dawson over 12 but I get the feeling Dawson would stop him a while before that.

This is all immaterial as the fight won't happen; there isn't enough in it for Calzaghe's people to be interested. Ideally I'd be looking for him to drop back down to SM for a fight with Pavlik in oct/nov, maybe at Madison Square Garden, then a grand finale back at LH against RJJ at the Millennium Stadium. Then it'd be job done for Joe!

Makes a lot of sense but look at the poll. Apparantly people think Joe can slap a bigger, younger, faster, stronger, and many more er fighter to a victory.

Well to Dawson's defense... no one has looked good against Glen for a while now.

    I voted Dawson.

Because, in the likelihood they meet, it wont be for another year, and by that time I feel Chad could have Joes number. Maybe.

Right now, if they faught today, I'd expect Joe to outhustle, outsmart and floor the green Dawson in an entertaining fight that goes the whole twelve.

I'd pick Dawson by close UD. He would give Joe fits with his jab, speed workrate and movement he can throw every punch in the book.. He's much younger than Joe as well and wouldn't fade in the championship rounds.

Not Dawson who is use to fighting at 175 unlike joe who looked sluggish with the extra weight at 175 and not fresh like he did at 168.

HE looked sluggish against hopkins because he spent 12 rounds chasing him. Calzaghe is **** at chasing fights. He likes someone who comes to fight and makes them fight at a ridiculous pace
