I seriously doubt that Joe can tired out a bigger fighter like Chad. If they trade than Joe will be KTFO prolly. Chad is a pretty solid hitter at light heavy. Joe can't accumlate any damage to chad with his slaps. Chad should win this easily.

Then what do you think he will do against Dawson who has the best movement at 175? He'll be alot more tired against Dawson than he was against Hopkins who actually throws more than one punch at a time and not hold. Dawson is the best combo-puncher at 175 he has a great workrate.

Calzaghe wasn't tired at the end of the hopkins fight. His punching was **** the whole fight

Calzaghe would slap that Hypejob Williams silly for 12 rounds for a very wide UD. (with fewer punches being landed than the B-Hop fight)

One thing is for sure, beating calzaghe aint ever going to be easy.

Iron chin, unbelievable work rate, southpaw, great boxign skills

I think this is a tough style matchup for JC because the southpaw advantage is nullified and Dawson chin is good enough to withstand his punches I have it a draw

Maybe for a super middle weight. Chad got better combos and not slaps either. IMO

Joe C. would have gotten KO'd by Johnson if he were in Chad's place the last fight. For that reason and others, he would get beat by Dawson in a UD.

I think the American judges would give Dawson the win on activity and workrate. I wouldn't take this fight, if I were Calzaghe. Politically, Dawson has an advantage over Calzaghe, particularly after the Hopkins fight.

    :huh
    so calzaghe fights like dawson and a + b = c

of course you have factored into your thinking the fight takes place in the uk in front of a huge crowd and dawson travelling for the first time

the judges will have ear plugs in to keep from being swayed by the atmosphere.

since when has johnson been a ko artist?

ottke/branco/sheika/vanderpool/tarver 2 times/woods 3 times/harding/hall/ etc etc all went the distance with johnson.

i can only think roy jones where he scored a ko .

no way calzaghe would stop him IMO but equally cant see johnson troubling calzaghe either.

Dawson is Calzaghe's most difficult fight at 175 (assuming Kessler is still at 168).

That said, I would pick Joe by a SLIGHT margin.

Calzaghe fighting like Dawson really isn't the crux of my argument. I really said nothing about how Dawson fought or how Joe C. does, I just gave my opinion of how Glen Johnson fights. Glen Johnson is super consistant with his defense and pressure and he applies that style to everyone. Looking at Joe C. performance in LHW against B-Hop I do believe he would be outmatched at LHW against Glen and the pressure he brings (EFFECTIVE PRESSURE) and his defense. Seeing that Chad Dawson withstood the onslaught and won I would place him in the elite section of the LHW fighters, while Calzaghe struggled with defense, footwork, and no pressure from B-Hop I don't see how he would hang with the top dogs of the LHW division.

I really don't care a bout the crowds, because I do not think if Dawson fought with Joe C. that the fight would go the distance.

Johnson ended 5 out 10 of his last fights with KO/TKO he can stop people with the pressure he brings, but again I don't know why I have to say all this, I never hinted that he was a KO artist.

I think Johnson is a gatekeeper to the elite level in LHW and I don't think Joe C. could get by him in the division. Must be why Joe C. had ducked him all these years.
