Pac actually has more boxing skills, but with the weight, and Pac's leaky defense, Canelo would KO him.

    depends. Today Pacquiao probably lose.

the Pacquiao from the Margarito fight slices Alvarez up.

    Are you serious?

Struggled with a shot mosley and his best win was his close loss over Austin Trout..

And yes it would be at 150

manny who fought margarito beats him up even with the severe size disadvantage

pacquiao is a stylistic nightmare for Alvarez

Probably Canelo. And I don't know how the JMM knockout affected Manny's chin. It is possible Canelo could knock him out at this point, but before that fight I would say a close fight.

I dont think its a blowout but a young canelo is a good matchup for a prime pacquiao..

Manny took a severe beating against Margo. I truly felt this was the fight that Manny aged ovrrnight

I like Manny, but Canelo would give him more trouble than Cotto did.

Pacquiao could outwork Canelo but he doesn't do well against fighters with good right hands, and Canelo has a powerful right. Also we still don't know if Pac is the same after his brutal KO loss. Jury is out until I see whether or not Pac has severely declined.

Cotto is a converted Southpaw, much like DLH was back in the day. Neither man was or is famous for having a devastating right hand (DLH eventually developed his right hand into a solid counter/lead, but he almost never seriously hurt anyone with it; it was more to help set up his left hook.)

Canelo has a much, much stronger right cross than Cotto does, and also has better handspeed to go along with better timing and accuracy with it. That doesn't bode well for the Southpaw Manny, who hasn't been hard to find with counter rights from skilled counterpunchers like Marquez historically.

On the other hand, Prime Manny's footspeed, lateral movement, power, and workrate might give the slower, more deliberate, not-blessed-with-unlimited-stamina Alvarez serious problems.

I'm a big fan of both, and I say without hesitation that Canelo would smash Manny if they fought today, but the Margarito version of Manny vs. Canelo today would be an intriguing fight, close to 50/50 in my opinion.

i think canelo beats him. manny has good defence but he can be hit, and canelo can break his ribs. mannys strongest assets are his speed power and movement, he would be outpowered, slight edge on the speed and canelo doesnt have great footwork but he can cover a lot of ground quickly. i think canelo has too much skill, in a guy his size, for many to deal with.

Pacquiao didn't took a severe beating against Margarito, that's a ****in' Myth. Pacquiao became a congressman, a part-time boxer, he was slippin' going into the Margarito fight, he still had his great speed and movement, but you could see that he couldn't keep the same rythim he could against Clottey, he did throw alot of punches, but some were just some range finder and pot-shots. When he hurt Margarito in the tenth, with a right hook, he couldn't follow up as good as he once could, he tried to go all out on Margo, but punched himself out a little bit. Then came the Mosley fight, and his footwork was messy and sloppy, he was declining in every fight since the Clottey or Cotto fight.
