if pavlik wins, it will be by decision. but one punch could change it all and with pavlik's defense, it's likely that one big punch gets through. abraham has put guys out cold as of late.

No one is beating Pavlik in his weight class period.

Anyone can win this fight with one punch, I'll admit. But I just dont think it happens

I've posted my analysis of this fight a dozen times. Maybe I'll break it down again tommorrow when I have more time and energy. The bottom line is Abraham is custom made for Pavlik. Pavlik KO8 Abraham. Funny thing is, only a hand full of Euro-fans and Pavlik haters gave AA any chance before he knocked out Miranda. After that on ESB AA turned into the second coming of godzilla. IT WAS EDISON MIRANDA:patsch

And before Pavlik beat Miranda (and took longer than Abraham to do it), who was he?

The second half of your post could be about Pavlik.

I hope Pavlk wins if they fight, 'cause if Abraham win he'll take the belts back to Geramny and continue to defend against bums indefinitely... that being said I think it's going to be a workrate-based Pavlik decision unless Abraham manages to catch him with something big, which is definitely a possibility.

i favor pavlik..he is a more tested fighter than abraham at this point. I want to see how abraham would deal against taylor for example but still pavlik needs to get past hopkins, his biggest test. It'll be a more difficult fight than taylor imo

The only fighter Pavlik has on his resume that is better than anyone AA has is Taylor but that´s it.

These guys are made for each other.
Pavlik´s punch and workrate are the right tools to outwork Abraham who´s weakness is his minimal workrate. But then Pavlik´s weaknesses are his chin and defense and Abraham has the punch to expose them, also he has the ring generalship, chin and defense to stay in there with for 12 rounds with Pavlik while carrying his power into the 12th.
My take is that Pavlik can´t stay away from AA´s punches for the full 12 rounds and will get KO/TKOed somewhere between round 7 and 11.

Abraham has more one punch power and carries it into the late rounds. Pavlik is more of an accumulation puncher. Also Abraham took Miranda´s bombs for 12 rounds while his jaw was broken two times without blinking. Do you really think Pavlik is knocking him out? Nah, won´t happen. Pavlik can beat him by UD if he´s ablte to avoid Abraham´s punches but well he won´t.

Pavlik would punch right through AA defence...whether or not he wins is another matter but AA would be one sorry motha****a if it went to the cards. Accumulation of punches would make a sore sore man.

Its not out of the question that AA would get a KO himself.

This is a tough fight to call. i wouldn't wager much on this one. AA defense is good and he is an above avg. counter puncher. And unlike a lot of counter punchers AA counter punches with serious power. If AA starts to time you well wach out because it could be over in a flash. Pavlik's work rate and power are his strengths. But quite often he gets lazy with his jab and is vulnerable to the big right hand. This has the chance to be a classic for many reasons but the two biggest ones are these: Both guys have power with either hand; both guys have the heart of a champion. I'm picking pavlik but that could be my heart speaking instead of my head. Hopefully this fight take place about a year from now.
