Calzaghe UD or late stoppage. Pavlik's got a good jab, but he really commits to it and leaves himself off balance and open if it doesn't land. Joe's going to be stepping to his right and under that jab all night long and catching Pavlik with right hooks while he's open. It also means Pavlik's going to struggle to get that powerful right going if he can't set it up with a consistent jab. As has already been said, this should be more one sided than most people realise. Calzaghe looks at his best against tall, upright, orthodox jabbers. Pavlik brings nothing he hasn't seen before.
Jump two weight divisions?atsch:huh He needs to work on cleaning out 160 first and he should go up to 168 where top competitors in Kessler and Bute await. But 175? That may be more than he can chew at this point in time.
The other way aroundatsch Are you being sarcastic? Joe called Pavlik out within 10 minutes of Pavlik/Taylor I, and then made a fight with Hopkins. Joe spent a total of 7 months calling Pavlik out. Pavlik said yes multiple times! Top Rank wanted the fight. HBO wanted the fight. Team Pavlik wanted the fight. Frank Warren wanted the fight. Joe said RJJ used to be a great fighter, but he is not a great fighter now. Warren pushed Joe to take the Pavlik fight. Joe fired Frank, and made a fight with RJJ. Joe ducked Pavlik because he knows Kelly would bounce his ass around the ring throughout the mid rounds, and knock him the **** out in under 10. Pavlik will KO BHop, and Taylor is going to hand Lacy his ass on a boxing glove. At the end of the day Joe's "legacy" will be in tatters, and most people will realize that he was never more than an over hyped euro-champ.
We'll never find out, because Pavlik is struggling to locate his balls and fight Abraham right now to prove the best middleweight. Joe Calzaghe will not fight him and legitimise his ducking ways for the good of boxing.
I see you're all cuddled up to your Calzaghe blow-up doll again today. You know you're full of **** AGAIN!
To the people that think Pavlik by KO can I ask a question. Doesnt the fact that Joe has spent his entire career fighting above Pavliks best weight and in all that time and 20 odd championship bouts he's been down for a total of about 6 seconds tell you something? Unless Joe suddenly gets old he aint getting stopped by Kelly. If it goes to the cards I cant see Joe being outboxed and outworked by Kelly for 12 rounds.
It's not my fault Pavlik is not the best fighter is his own division. Don't shoot the messenger, Scout.
Everytime Joe came rushing in with his head down winging wild slaps, like he ALWAYS does, he'd get drilled HARD. Everytime he throws his left to the body, he'd catch HARD left hook to the head because he leaves himself WIDE OPEN. Everytime he shoe-shines to the head and face he leaves his entire body open. A Pavlik lead right to the body leaves Joe on his hand and knees struggling to breathe. Pavlik WILL knock Joe out, but before they can fight Joe has to remember where he left his balls.
It's not very clear at all actually. It's about as clear as when I went to the glacier and a snowstorm blew in my face All I'm hearing from slaphead and Arum is that we need to wait until Abraham is marketable. Arthur called his bald ass out and he's gone quiet. Calzaghe is old and fading and wants paydays. WHAT the hell is Kelly's excuse for chasing two old men? :hey
