True, once Pavlik faces Abraham, it will be evident. He has the height advantage (6'2 1/2" vs. 5'10") and reach advantage (75" to 72") with everything else all equal except maybe defense. But I like Pavlik in that matchup.

Yeah, everything is equal except chins.

Pavlik has been down more times than booradley at the gay pride party. Abraham has a chin of granite.

Calzaghe hasn't fought anybody that goes down to Jermain Taylor or Bronco McKart lately.

An admission Kelly takes him now?

    No

I'm just wondering why Kelly likes to match himself with 35+ guys. Perhaps he should take a trip down to the social security office when he is matchmaking in future.

Maybe this has more to do with Bob Arum, don't you think?

Plus, every day that passes is an advantage for Kelly if this matchup does happen against Calzaghe and as long as he doesn't fight Abraham first right?

Can't have it both ways. Either Joe is or isn't a worthy opponent for him. Which is it? Joe is old and shot? Joe is worthy?

Of course every day is an advantage. He doesn't exactly seem desperate to face a guy in his prime to prove he is the best in his own division.

Hermit - Calzaghe is old and getting towards shot. I'd say he's shot by his own standards, compared to a mortal he is prime.

Still, that doesn't answer the question I posed. I've noticed a shift out of you since Margarito showed there is a difference between a fighter and a boxer. You went from favoring Bhop to saying Pavlik would win on gift decision. Now I'm looking for a straight up answer. Do you still favor Joe to beat Kelly? Is Joe a worthy opponent or is he over the hill and Pavlik should move on to BETTER opponents?

WTF? Why should he be desperate to fight a champion that is not even proven to be the best in Germany.

Joe would still beat him despite having china hands and fading reflexes.

Hopkins will beat him, and the majority of knowledgable posters will vote Hopkins in the customary "Who won" post-fight poll. That's all I'm saying.

So those "knowledgable posters" that voted Hopkins over Joe are right after all?

None of the knowledgable posters did as far as I remember.

But I've predicated this one a mile off. The Pavlik fans will use Calzaghe's calculated outworking whilst landing the most ever punches on Hopkins as justification for Pavlik getting a gift for throwing lots of punches at Hopkins arms.

You're just spreading bull**** because you're bored and like to raise hell on here:yep

You know full will that after AA clears his mandatory, his next fight will probably be Pav. You also know that HBO has already said yes to the fight. Top Rank, Team Pavlik, Arthur's people, absolutely everyone is on board. The really question is; "Can Arthur get past Marquez?" Be a shame if he can't. But since it's in Germany, I'm sure the home cooking on the score cards will be tasty enough to keep Arthur on top, which is where I heard you like him best; on top:hey
