Thomas lasted 3 1/2 minutes. Toney was hard to hit as well.

Roy was a more powerful middleweight.

It's pure speculation if he could take those shots in his prime and again it's not likely they hit him.

You don't know for a second that Jones absolutely could not have stopped LaMotta.

Entirely possible Roy would not have stopped Fullmer like that - it was a freak occurrence. Entirely possible SRR may not have stopped Tate like that too.

Well there was certainly only one SRR. This has nothing to do with SRL of course.

Ray Leonard was never really in his "prime" at 160 lbs.

I'll go with Jones on points.

I think so. Hagler looked shopworn against Leonard and started showing signs of that by struggling with Mugabi. Prime Hagler had footwork, boxing skills and snap on his punches. Against RL he was pushing his punches very early.

There is a world of difference between Robinson at 160 and Leonard at 160. Sugar Ray established that he could knock guys out with either hand at Middleweight. Hell he was doing that when he was giving away weight in the 40s. Not necessarily picking against Jones here but just making the distinction .

No question Leonard is one of the greatest fighters that ever lived. And I believe he is better p4p than Roy Jones. But he never would have fought anything close to prime Roy Jones.

Having written that, IMHO, anything close to prime Jones beats any version of Leonard.

At middleweight, Roy definitely, possibly by stoppage late rounds.

    Roy with or without ROIDS?

With the pick is Roy. Without the pick is Leonard.

During his middleweight career stint (from debut up to Thomas Tate) what fights would you say Roy was roided for and what fights wasn't he?

Roy was in a Roided state during most of his entire career.
