Who would win between Prime Sugar Ray Leonard or Prime Roy Jones at middleweight?

    I think so also. The inactivity really hurt Hagler. Only one fight since Hearns and that was a tough fight against Mugabi and then another year off. I always thought he lost his motivation for boxing a little after Hearns. It was as though he reached the level he wanted which was notoriety and acceptance as a great fighter- and he got it, and then he sort of lost a little interest. And that made him less effective because of training and proving. He also took Ray for granted. As for Roy vs. Leonard? At middleweight? Not a good fight for Leonard. It is hard to think about Leonard prime at middleweight since even when he was a young fighter he fought Geraldo and struggled. Welterweight was his weight.

    Would someone know why Leonard only has 40 professional fights when most of his comtemporary ATGs have atleast 65 fights.
    40 fights is too low

    Yes he retired after surgery for a detached retina and had just one fight between the start of 82 and early 87. That's basically 5 years in the wilderness.
