Could say the same about you.
I have never claimed to be an expert. In fact on my first day I did the opposite.
What happened here? Did you leave your phone screen on in your pocket or something?

Max Baer was far from perfect fighter, but he beat better boxers than Wilder did so far. Only Fury and Ortis are legit good wins, but Baer has Schmeling (better than both of them) and Carnera, Schaff, Farr, Comiskey, Galento and Campbell.

Why do you consider Schaff, Comiskey, Galento, and Campbell to be "better boxers" than some of the other men Wilder beat?

And people would pillory Wilder if he beat up anyone as small as Max Schmeling.

Wilder Nukes him. Too long, too fast, hits too hard. Baer had a great chin. But Louis was the only puncher from that era who hit as hard as WIlder. Baer lasted 4 rounds. I get Wilder isn't a sliver of what Joe Louis is, but I think WIlder would get Baer out of there sooner than later.

Baer had similar firepower and style to Wilder, and I suspect that he took a punch much better.

Louis doesn't even enter the discussion!

Baer fights hands down and upright against a longer, faster and usually straighter puncher. Wilder all day there.

Some thought drinking their own urine was a strength enhancer. It was junk science. Unlike the testosterone/ steroids of the last 40 yrs.

Because they fought against the best opponents available, most of the Wilder victims never sniffed the top of the division.

Wilder literally fought retired, former MW who was 5'8 and was never great. Him fighting Schmeling wouldn't be any less reasonable than that. i'd be far more impressed with Wilder beating Schmeling than most of his opponents.

Fury was not a win for Wilder. The official ruling was a draw. Most felt Fury won it.

Wilder has one legit win over a 38-41 year old Ortiz and it was close. Wilder waited for Ortiz to age before taking this fight

I think Wilder has used drug tests to prevent dangerous fights ( povetkin and Ortiz). And questionable judging and referring to save him from defeats.

He’s not that good and has taken the art of belt milking to a new level with just 2 of his 9 title wins coming vs ring magazine top ten rated openers when he fought them.

Once he gets clipped from someone not as good as Ruiz jr, these type of threads will stop.

Baer was on the floor only twice in his career - once against Louis and once against Nova in his last fight after eating tons of punches and losing all stamina. Wilder is extremely hard puncher, but he's not close to Louis in terms of variety and effectiveness of attacks. You need far more than just a one big punch to KD Baer. He ate Schmeling rights like nothing. He walked through Galento hooks, he kept coming after tons of punches from Nova, even Louis hit him with a lot of clean punches. Wilder's low workrate and sloppiness are big questions when it comes to stopping Maxie.

So that makes them better boxers? I don't follow your logic.

And for the record, by your criteria, several of Wilder's other opponents fought against the biggest names in the division.

What's the point of comparing Schmeling to a last-minute replacement Wilder fought back in 2011?

Baer used crouch, chin behind the shoulder, crossarm defense and other unorthodox methods to protect his chin from getting hit cleanly. He's not a good defensive fighter but he had cery good reflex and fast feet. He also did very well against taller opponents. Wilder wouldn't be safe from his attacks either and Baer was quite creative at finding openings. Far from the one sided fight you describe here.
