Floyd would never ever take this fight. It's not in his nature. And if he did, and GGG wasn't drained beyond the ability to stand, Floyd would get walked down and knocked out. Brutally. Right through whatever guard, shoulder, or elbows he puts up to defend. GGG hits well above his own weight class which is already two above Floyd's most successful. He is taller and heavier, iron chinned, and specializes in cutting the ring off and walking guys down. Nothing floyd could do short of bringing a gun in the ring would so much as make GGG wince. Floyd is a great defensive fighter. ATG level defense really. But even he doesn't avoid every single shot. He can't win early and he can't avoid getting whacked for 12 rounds. If he is close enough to score pot shots, he is close enough to get mauled. It wont take more than one or two shots for Floyd to get separated from his senses. This is just a stupid idea really. Intelligent boxing fans know it, and the entire Mayweather clan knows it. The only reason I would even care to see this is because so many people on this board actually think Floyd would easily win.

The Mayweather that beat Canelo embarrasses Golovkin even at 160 lbs.
The Mayweather of today wouldn't have the stamina/workrate to earn a decision imo.
If a welterweight come forward looper style like Maidana takes Mayweather to the brink, Golovkin at 160 lbs outhustles Mayweather imo.

Don't see Mayweather being able to get Golovkin's respect with his punches to stop his come forward action.

Golovkin by a 116-112 type of a decision.

Isn't this thread about GGG and Mayweather? Don't blame me since for this...

The worst in all this is that even yourself shared your shitty troll opinion on the subject.

Plus..Mayweather could have fought GGG at 154 but he was too occupied to find excuses like " I cannot make 160". On the other hand, there's no way you can compare GGG to a heavyweight.

    They could fight at 154.

If Pac can enter the ring against Margarito with a 20+lb weight disadvantage, GGG isn't too big for an ATG like Floyd.

Only the Mayweather of today isn't capable of fighting at an ATG standard.
If they fought now, to me it would be a fight between a very good middleweight against a very good welterweight, the younger, bigger, busier fighter wins out.

The reason isn't the size difference. It is that Floyd doesn't fight when he can lose.

I can see Mayweather taking a decision @ 160 if the fight and weigh in are on the same day...

2010 Floyd wins hands down, current Floyd not so sure, his footwork is not what it used to be and his lack of power won't keep GGG off him. I have always thought the way to beat Floyd is not head hunt him, he is far too good and not taking shots to the head, but a high pressure body puncher has a chance. Canelo used the wrong game plan and did not go the body enough. I don't think size has much to do with it, he handled Canelos size quite easily, but that was a few years ago. A bridge too far today I would think.

GGG is just too strong for Floyd. He'd knock Floyd around the ring like a child. Floyd might try to tag and run but he's not strong enough to keep GGG off of him and get his respect. GGG would walk through punches, cut off the ring and mug him in the corner.
